Sweet As A Peach

Do you know someone who is as sweet as a peach? I am blessed to know several “sweet as a peach people”, and this is the perfect card for them. How about you? If you have a “sweet as a peach” friend, why not create this card and let them know.  It’s Sunday, and time to play with The Paper Players!

This week, Jaydee is hosting our monthly sketch challenge.   A great sketch is always the perfect foundation on which to build a card, and Jaydee has certainly provided us with a wonderful one.  I know this is one I will use again and again. It’s a perfect one for showcasing coordinating designer papers. I know I had fun with this sketch, and I know you will, too! I can’t wait to see what YOU create!

The Stampin’ Schach Design Tips

From the moment I laid eyes on the You’re A Peach Suite in the new Annual Catalog, I knew I had to have it.  I adore the sweet sentiments, and I simply LOVE the colors and patterns in the designer paper.  Today’s sketch was perfect for showcasing two of these papers.

Today’s card is simple and straightforward. I stamped the peaches in Pale Papaya, and gave them a blush of Coral Calypso.   Isn’t it so cute how “sweet as a peach” sentiment fits right on top of the peach? I also like that “thanks for being as” is easily die cut out using one of the dies that comes in the bundle.  A snippet of Bumblebee gingham ribbon, and a few sequins from the Expressions in Ink ephemera pack were all that were needed as embellishments.  Well, maybe I used more than a few sequins…

It’s Me, Muffy!

sweet as a peach

“It’s Muffy again.  I don’t have much to occupy my time these days other than watching Dog TV,  so Mom said I could chat with you again this week.  It  has been an eventful week for sure.  My mom bought be a rear support harness to use on my walks. She’s always wanted to build up muscles in her arms, and this is doing it! It’s awesome, because she can hold up my butt when I walk, and I don’t scrape my feet on the sidewalk. And you know what else?  I can potty the right way again, instead of sitting all the way down on the ground. Let me tell you, that’s a great feeling! Oh, wait, Mom’s yelling at me…”

(“What, Mom? No, I’m not being inappropriate. I thought people would be interested in knowing that little fact.  Oh, all right. I won’t mention it again!”)

“I’m back. Ugh. Sometimes she treats me like a child. I happen to be almost 80 years old in human years. I am definitely her elder.  Well, not by a whole lot, but I had better not let her hear me say that.  Anyway, Mom has had three people who have doggy wheelchairs they would like to loan me. However, one is in Texas, and one is in Wisconsin, and one is in Chicago. I know my Mom can’t drive to Texas to pick it up, so I am hoping that maybe we can get the one in Chicago or Wisconsin. Mom is going to check with a couple of her friends to see if they would like to ride with her, so she doesn’t have to go by herself.  I think a wheel chair sounds like fun!”

“My friend, Amy the Handler, sent me a Bark Box. I had so much fun searching through it. It had yummy treats, which I am keeping for myself, and toys that I will share with the kids.  Amy’s sad I will be leaving.  But she shouldn’t be.  I am so proud of all we accomplished together, and I will forever be in her heart. ”

“Well, time for me to sign off.  Mom said I could ride with her to buy some flowers.  Plus, we are going to get a tree to plant.  I am going to help, and it will be known as the “Muffy Tree”.  Hopefully, I’ll be back to chat next week.  As always, please be patient with my Mom if she doesn’t post a lot or email right away.  Chances are, she is helping me…”
