Cute Cactus Birthday Card for FF0079

Looking for a card which is a little different?  How about a cute cactus birthday card? It’s time to get festive at Festive Friday – the home of the Inspo List!

For this week’s challenge,  we are inspired by World Frog Day. Remember – at Festive Friday, you do not need to actually celebrate the occasion.  Your goal is to simply use three or more items from the inspiration list on your project.  I used green, stripes, twine, and circles on my card this week.  I can’t wait to see what YOU create!

The Stampin’ Schach Design Tips

Who doesn’t love Stampin’ Up!’s Product Medleys!  They have almost everything you need to create perfectly coordinated cards for a variety of occasions. The Flowering Cactus Medley doesn’t disappoint, with its cute paper, felt flowers, colorful twine, and fabulous dies.  It’s perfect for the cactus lover, like me!

Today’s cute cactus card features three of the twelve designer paper patterns, as well as a cactus which was die cut from a fourth one.  The taller cacti were die cut from Mossy Meadow and Pear Pizzazz cardstocks. Aren’t they cool? I sponged a little Mossy Meadow ink on the Pear Pizzazz one to tone it down a bit. Of course, in my perfect cactus world, they would be in bloom.  These are sporting felt Highland Heather blossoms with pearl centers.
