An Incredible Woman Card for FF0078

Ready to celebrate the special women in your life? I am, with today’s “To An Incredible Woman” card.  It’s time to get festive at Festive Friday – the home of the Inspo List!

To An Incredible Woman Card

For this week’s challenge,  we are inspired by International Women’s Day. Remember – at Festive Friday, you do not need to actually celebrate the occasion.  Your goal is to simply use three or more items from the inspiration list on your project.  I used a heart, flowers, and a female sentiment on my card this week.  I can’t wait to see what YOU create!

May be an image of one or more people, hair and text that says 'FESTİ friday International Women's day CHALLENGE #FF0078 INSPO LIST Pick to include in your project heart flowers glitter girls/women shoes watercolor fun fold female sentiment lipstick felt'

The Stampin’ Schach Design Tips

I just can’t say enough about the Flower & Field Designer Series Paper collection.  It is well-worth placing a $50 order just to get this paper as your free item! One side of the paper is a floral, while the opposite side is a coordinating pattern, as can clearly be seen with today’s card. In fact, I am going to be creating a series of birthday, thank you, hello, and just-a-note cards using the same layout as today’s card, but with the other patterns. That is how much I LOVE this paper!

FLOWER & FIELD 12" X 12" (30.5 X 30.5 CM) DESIGNER SERIES PAPER

The largest Stitched So Sweetly die cut forms a perfect backdrop for the floral.  I adhered it to a panel of Cherry Cobbler so it would contrast against the Bumblebee background.  Although it doesn’t show up, the centers of the Cherry Cobbler flowers were colored with Clear Wink of Stella for a touch of sparkle.  A simple Bumblebee Gingham ribbon bow, along with a resin heart, accents the sentiment.  How easy would it be to substitute a variety of sentiments!  The possibilities are endless.

  1. Such a lovely card Ann; bright & cheerful. A great card to brighten up anyone’s day.

With the cold, snow & freezing temperatures that Texas has been having; it’s been a week now that we haven’t had running water so been collecting snow, melting it, boiling it and using it for dishes, etc.
So many where without electricity, no heat; of which some still are doing without. Many with frozen pipes which is really keeping the plumbers busy. Some plumbers are coming out of retirement just to help out in any way they can.
There are some who just have a fireplace to keep warm. They ran out of firewood so they started to cut up their furniture and burning it just to stay warm.
Face it; Us Texans (originally from IA.) just are not used to these kind of conditions.
Honestly; I will never complain again about the 100 deg. temperature / heat that we get during the summer months.

  2. Love this combination of papers/patterns and all the layers. Fabulous card as always!

  3. So pretty. Great color combo. TFS

  4. Love that paper – both floral and polka dots. Wonderful color palette. Great card for our challenge.
