Clean and Simple Cat Hello Card for PP529

Do you have a friend who loves felines?  Why not create this clean and simple cat hello card to brighten her day!  It’s Sunday, and time to play with The Paper Players!

Clean and Simple Cat Card

It’s Clean and Simple week at The Paper Players, hosted by the talented and sweet LeAnne.  With a focus on felines of any type, this should be a super fun challenge.  I can’t wait to see what you create!  But remember, by clean and simple we mean cards that:

  • Have minimal layers and embellishments
  • Have plenty of open space, aka “white” space
  • Are simple and uncluttered

The Stampin’ Schach Design Tips

Clean and simple week is always a tough one for me.  It’s not that I don’t like clean and simple cards. In fact I am so envious of those people who are masters of this style. It’s just that I have a tendency to add layers and pile on pearls!  With today’s challenge I really tried to keep it simple.

I had a ton of fun with dies when creating this card!  I used the cute Stitched With Whimsy die to add interest to my background.  The large heart was created using the Be Mine Stitched dies.  The adorable label was die cut courtesy of the Stitched Nested Label dies.  Of course, the grumpy looking kitty was fussy cut from the Pampered Pets designer series paper. Isn’t he a cutie patootie? This was such a quick and easy card to create.  Once again, you could switch out the sentiment for a birthday or thank you if you wished.

  1. Ann, the whimsy die just seems perfect with this suite. I love the scalloped heart and the touches of pink. It’s also the perfect paper for your grumpy cat! Such a cute cat, he makes me smile! Another fabulous card, my friend

  2. Such a cute card, Ann. The DSP is adorable with your little guy and I love the way you used the Whimsy die. An adorable CAS.

  3. I don’t see how that kitty can keep a grumpy face with all of his favorite things right there! So cute! And CAS is a relative thing in my mind! If you normally do 20 layers and bows and details etc. anything less is definitely CAS! Have a great week!

  4. Oh my gosh, how cute! LOVE the way you created the background with that Whimsy die, and your DSP-filled heart adds just the right touch for your grumpy cat! LOVE it!

  5. I love the paper that goes so well with your cute cat!! What a fun card.
