Whimsical Holiday Card for The Paper Players

If a cute and whimsical holiday card is your style, check out today’s elf card. It’s Sunday, and time to play with The Paper Players.

whimsical holiday cardThis week, my friend Jaydee has a Clean and Simple theme challenge: The North Pole.  By Clean and Simple, we mean cards and projects which meet these guidelines:

  • Minimal layers and embellishments
  • Plenty of open space, aka “white” space
  • Simple and uncluttered

I used Stampin’ Up!’s  adorable #elfie stamp set in creating today’s card. I needed to create cards for my great nieces, and I think they will LOVE this cute fella! I hope you enjoy today’s whimsical holiday card, and that you will join in the fun at The Paper Players!

Colors of the Day

Who can blame this little guy for taking a break after helping Santa create presents for all the good little girls and boys! He was stamped in Tuxedo Black Memento ink and colored with Stampin’ Blends. (I have listed all of the colors I used in my free step-by-step tutorial, which you can download later in today’s post.)

whimsical holiday cardInstead of centering the focal panel, I offset it completely to the right of the card, just for a different look.  In keeping with the clean and simple guidelines, I didn’t add any ribbon or bling, but I’m sure my great nieces won’t mind one bit!
