Clean and Simple Holiday Card for PP459

Looking for a clean and simple holiday card that will make the recipient say “WOW”? It’s Sunday, and time to play with The Paper Players! (Brody update at end of post.)

clean and simple holiday cardThis week the super talented Anne Marie is hosting a Clean and Simple challenge. The goal is to feature metallics on your clean and simple card.  Because I am always scrambling in December to come up with cards to send out, I opted to create a clean and simple holiday card.  I can see myself creating a few more of these using a variety of background papers!

clean and simple holiday cardRemember, The Paper Players defines clean and simple as having the following characteristics:

  • Minimal layers and embellishments
  • Plenty of open space, aka “white” space
  • Simple and uncluttered
I had so much fun creating this “Metallic Marvel”. I can’t wait to see what YOU create!

The Stampin’ Schach Design Tips
With its combination of  metallic shimmer and simplicity, today’s clean and simple holiday card definitely packs a punch.  Champagne Foil, which was used to create the pine cone overlays, is a beautiful contrast to the Gold Foil pine boughs.
clean and simple holiday cardThe new Delicata Silvery Shimmer ink was used to stamp the simple sentiment, which is part of the So Many Stars stamp set. It has a very subtle sheen which is gorgeous in person. Icy blue Coastal Cabana Holiday Rhinestones add a touch of color and sparkle.

Brody Update

Brody after surgeryBrody made it through surgery this past Wednesday. They were able to remove all of the tumor on his side. As for the tumor on the bottom of his foot, they removed all they could, but there was no room to assure clean margins. He did have to have his foot rebandaged on Thursday, and the new bandage does have more padding. He was checked out again on Saturday, and hopefully will be bandage free on Monday. This is definitely not the easiest place to have a surgery! His spirits are great, and he is eating, drinking, and even trying to play a little!

As always, if you have any questions about the cards I create or the techniques I use, I am only an email away! Until next time…siggy-1
