It’s time for the Festive Friday Challenge, where every challenge is a party! For FF0021, we are celebrating 3D Day and/or Single Layer. I always love a challenge…and for me, a single layer card is indeed a challenge. That is why I selected the “twist” and created a single layer card which uses the new Snow Is Glistening stamp set. (If you would like to learn more about the Snowflake Showcase Promotion and the set I am featuring today, check out THIS POST.) Whatever way you decide to create is fine with us. We can’t wait to see what you create!

The Stampin’ Schach Design Tips
Today’s card is an easy one! No cardstock was harmed in the making of this card. I used a Gold Foil Edged Card, which has a matching gold trimmed envelope. The Tree image was inked in Versamark, and heat embossed in gold. The sentiment and snowflakes were heat embossed in silver. The final touch was to accent the Tree and Snowflakes with Red and Clear Rhinestones. How easy is that?
The pictures really do not do this card justice. It truly is beautiful…but very difficult to photograph because of the way the light reflects off it. Here are two casual pictures taken without using the light tent to give you a different perspective of the color.
The Challenge Twists
As mentioned earlier, Festive Friday is a challenge with twists. We offer alternatives for every challenge. Plus, if you play along with us, you will be earning Fest Points which can be redeemed for items such as tutorials (including the tutorial for today’s card), retired Stampin’ Up! products, design team cards, and even a spot as a Guest Designer! But remember: To earn Fest Points, you need an account on the challenge site. Just click on login/register on the challenge site to get started.

- Are you in search of a specific retired stamp set? I just might have it on my list of Retired Sets for Sale.
- If you are in need of a Holiday Catalog or an Annual Catalog, and you do not have a demonstrator, please email me (ann@thestampinschach) and I will drop one in the mail to you!
Ann this is very nice. When I first looked at it, I was like – I very sparingly use my gold foil paper, and I thought the top section was added to the gold foil. But then when I looked at your supplies I saw that neat paper with just the gold edge. And if I’m making oodles of Christmas cards, that could really add to the cost. So cool new product. And it’s just another layer that makes your card perfect!
Absolutely gorgeous! TFS

Beautiful. Clean, simple and yet very elegant.
What a simple card to mass-produce.
Thanks Ann
Very pretty, the gold and red are so festive! Hope to play this week as well!
