Stamp Review Crew: Animal Outing Baby Card

Baby Card

It’s time for the Stamp Review Crew: Animal Outing Edition! If this is your very first visit to one of our hops, the Stamp Review Crew is a group of international Stampin’ Up! demonstrators whose mission is to do a blog hop on the first, third and fifth Mondays of each month. Our hops are unique because each of us features the same stamp set used in a variety of ways, giving you loads of inspiration for that set. The hops are archived at the Stamp Review Crew blog. You will be able to click through each hop at any time, going directly to the posts for that hop whenever you want. This week we are featuring the Animal outing stamp set. If you are following along in order, you have just arrived from Cindy Elam.  After visiting me, you will continue to the next stop, the talented Mike Funke.

Animal Outing Baby Card

Baby CardAnimal Outing is such a cutie patootie set.  I love all the images, but  since I needed a baby girl card to send to a former student of mine, I opted to use the kangaroo with the koala in her pocket.  Of course, I had to use pink! Welcome to the world, Audrey Joyce…AJ for short!

The Stampin’ Schach Design Tips

Sweet baby girls need cute pink cards, and Powder Pink is a great choice.  The new Tufted 3D DynamicTextured Impressions Embossing Folder was also a great choice for the background.  Doesn’t it remind you a wee  bit of a baby quilt? And as tempting as it was to put pearls on each  one of the intersections, I resisted!

And what about the new Polka Dot Tulle Ribbon? It is so soft and feminine, and easy to fashion into double bows.

Of course, the birth of a baby is an event to celebrate.  I added two celebratory glimmer paper balloons, punched out with the Balloon Bouquet punch.  Silver and Petal Pink Baker’s Twine hold them in place.
