Puppy Picture of the Day
What a difference a day or two makes! Little Kia was born in the back seat of my husband’s car as we pulled into the vet’s parking lot. Here is the first picture we took of her:

We are starting to get into a routine now, and hopefully I will be able to catch up soon! Until then, I will be camped out next to the whelping box, keeping a close eye on Muffy and the mini-Muffins!

Bless Muffy’s little heart. I know exactly what you went through. I have been through that with my Pomeranian. AND we had a girl we named Miracle. Called her MEME and Mimmy for her nicknames. She was stuck in the birth canal and a rush trip to the vets for the c-section with the vet saying the pup that was stuck probably would not survive. But as soon as the mama was under anesthesia, the pup slide out. A true miracle!!
So glad things are going better for Muffy and her mini muffins. Of course immediately when I saw them I thought – I NEED ONE. 🙂
Thanks for the continued updates, pictures and videos! Love those contented little nursing puppy sounds. They look so healthy! You and Muffy are such good moms and Kim is a great dad and husband! Take care of yourself and your little family, they will grow so fast and we know fabulous cards are on the horizon! Hugs!

Thank you for sharing all the details and pictures about Muffy and her mini muffins. I hope Muffy and all six of her puppies have their difficulties behind them. They are so fortunate to have you watching over them closely. I’m so glad you were persistent with the Vet. You and Muffy are both wonderful moms. Congrats to Muffy that she finally has her own real babies to tend. We will eagerly await everyone’s progress – as this is a “story” we’ve all been excited to follow. PS: It’s so nice to see all the wonderful comments everyone makes, and that so many others are excited about the news 🙂

Dear Ann: What a relief it must be for you to see this little one so plump and full of life. You and Muffy need some rest now that the family is getting into the sweet routine of tending to this adorable little puppies.

I am so thankful through all of this everyone is doing well. It was such an exciting adventure for those of us who follow your blog. Take all the time you need to help with these adorable babies! Can’t wait for updated puppy pictures!
I was so excited when I saw the title of your post announcing the birth of the mini-muffins, and then rather aghast at all that poor Muffy went through. I know nothing about birthing puppies and was really surprised at how long the labour took and at all the various setbacks along the way. Muffy was incredibly lucky to have you literally by her side the whole time, so knowledgeable and observant.
I was just sharing the story and pictures of Muffy’s baby fish and football with my DIL this week. It’s wonderful that wanna-be mommy now has all those little muffins to mother. And yes, I can’t believe how much Kia has filled out! Obviously Muffy is made of, and is making, good stuff!
Congratulations, Ann and Kim. As much as I love your card posts and look forward to each new one, this event is a once-in-a-lifetime story and we’re all waiting for news and photos of each new chapter.

Congratulations on Muffy’s new little mini-Muffins!! They are ALL so adorably cute! I have to admit I’m partial to little Bunny as I LOVE Boxers with fawn coloring most of all. All my boxers have been fawn with white chest and white toes. With that being said, you just can’t beat the love of a Boxer no matter their color! <3
Who is concerned about stamping ideas – laughing. We want all the stamping pictures of our new additions. Oh yes also the proud Momma – Muffy. This does include you as well Ann. You sure are a have a good heart. I would do the same. Stay by their sides. What a wonderful husband as well being by your side and Muffy. Helping with the babies. You are all so wonderful. The stamping ideas are wonderful – but I’m so interested in the mini-muffins and their health. They have two moms for sure and I know you both are doing EVERYTHING you can to see all six of them grow up! They are adorable by the way. Will you be keeping any of them?
I totally agree with Jan – the puppies have two moms and I too hope that they all continue to grow and be healthy. Your blog is like my favorite novel right now so please keep the stories coming!! Just for fun, I think it would be interesting to see how many people are closely following the birth and growth of these puppies! And, of course, the stars of the show Miss Muffin and her momma- you!
