The sentiment, “You are always loved”,  graces this simple Scottie dog card. Yep! Scotties – they’re not just for Christmas! It’s Sunday, and time to play with The Paper Players!

You Are Always LovedThis week, the wonderful Claire has a Tic-Tac-Toe challenge for us.  I went straight across the top row, with yellow, person or animal, and embossing.  I can’t wait to see what YOU create!

The Stampin’ Schach Design Tips

I am a Scottie dog collector. I LOVE Scotties. As you might guess, I was thrilled when Stampin’ Up! released the Christmas Scottie bundle. While a lot of people associate Scotties with red plaid, a color which gives them a distinct Christmas vibe, I’m on a crusade to show that Scotties are not just for the holidays! When paired with So Saffron, the rather feisty and reserved Scottie – I lived next door to one for many years – assumes a jaunty air.  It’s a fun and easy card to create. While I used the retired Stitched So Sweetly dies to create the scalloped panel, if a person did not have them, a simple Basic Black mat would work just fine.  The Gingham embossing folder was used for the backdrop.  Embellishments consist of white matte dots .

Nueve’s Notes

Hi, everyone! It’s me, Nueve! I’ve got big news to share. My sister, Sixxy, showed in a dog show last weekend, and she won! She did really good, and didn’t even bark at anyone. She got ribbons just like I get. But, she didn’t get a toy like me.  My best friend, Michelle, showed her.  Michelle said Sixxy is very pretty, but I’m handsome!

There were lots of pretty flowers where we were. I wanted my picture taken, too. So the next day, Michelle took lots of pictures with me. It was really hot, and I had trouble keeping  my mouf closed.   We took a bunch like this:

And bunches like this, where my dad was making a squeaky toy dance on top of his head. He looked really silly.  He tried to make it dance on top of Mom’s head, but she didn’t like it.  I liked it though.

You Are Always LovedI was afraid there might be buzzy bugs, but I didn’t see any.  Then I got silly and started giving kisses.  Sometimes I just can’t help myself.  It makes Michelle happy, and she makes funny faces.

Holiday Joy Card

Every year, I’m behind in getting my holiday cards completed and mailed out on time.  Maybe this holiday “Joy” card is just the design I’m looking for!  Maybe this year is the year my cards will arrive before Christmas! It’s Sunday, and time to play with The Paper Players!

Holiday Joy CardThis week, sweet LeAnne has a wonderful sketch for us.  It’s a versatile one for sure, and I can’t wait to see what YOU create using it!

The Stampin’ Schach Design Tips

I took advantage of LeAnne’s wonderful sketch to showcase the Lights Aglow specialty designer series paper.  The Cherry Cobbler “mini-snowflake” pattern, with its tiny gold foil snowflakes, is so elegant. It coordinates perfectly with the Cherry Cobbler bokeh pattern, which I used for the vertical strip.  I ran this strip through the Stampin’ Cut & Emboss machine with the “dotted” die from the Labels Aglow die collection. Don’t you LOVE how the gold glimmer paper peeks through?  And speaking of gold glimmer, isn’t the gold glimmer snowflake absolutely stunning? It’s the perfect backdrop for the gold heat embossed sentiment, which was stamped onto a Soft Succulent bokeh pattern.  This truly was not a difficult card to create, but it certainly packs a huge “wow” factor in person.
