Color Spritzer Tool Video Tutorial and Ribbon Winner

Ah! The Color Spritzer Tool! Many of you have asked for a video tutorial for using the Color Spritzer Tool. The video tutorial today is a “Getting Started” video! A troubleshooting video is in the making and will be posted next week! However, if you can’t wait for the troubleshooting video, many problems stem from the distance of the tool above the paper, and very importantly, the positioning of the Stampin’ Write Marker in the tool itself! Like many techniques, it takes practice, practice, practice! Enjoy!

Ribbon Winner

Congratulations to the winner of the Chocolate Chip and Always Artichoke 1/4″ Grosgrain Ribbon. The winner, as selected by using a random number generator is #16: Rita.

I don’t remember seeing you use those bright colors before! I can’t wait to see the entire card. I would love to know how many packs of pearls you go through in a week! LOL

Love the picture of the twins. I thought only cats and my grandma were that nosy! 🙂

Rita, just send me your address, and I will send your ribbons to you pronto! A big thank you to all of you who commented. Of course, your comments are very important to me. And remember, if you have questions about the cards that I create or the techniques that I use, I am only an email away! Until next time…

Vintage Easter Blossoms for the PPA84

Easter Blossoms is one of my favorite sets from the Occasions Mini Stampin’ Up! Catalog. So it was only natural when faced with this week’s Pals Paper Arts Challenge: Fashion Inspiration—Spring/Easter, that it was my “go-to” set. I took my inspiration from the flowers and the texture of the hat. Enjoy my “Vintage Easter Blossoms” card!
The Stampin’ Schach Stamping Tips:

  • Texture! What better way to replicate the texture of this adorable Easter bonnet than with Stampin’ Up!’s Square Lattice Textured Impressions Embossing Folder? I zipped a piece of Springtime Vintage Designer Series Paper through the Big Shot, which left a wonderfully worn vintage appearance!
  • Make it pop! The Silhouette image was inked with Early Espresso and stamped onto Very Vanilla card stock. After snipping it out, the edges were distressed with Early Espresso and it was “popped” up on Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • Make it your own! Flowers snipped from the Designer Paper form a bouquet for our little lady and fill her basket.
  • Vintage touches! Basic Pearls outline the oval mat, giving the illusion of a vintage cameo brooch. They also accent one of my favorite Stampin’ Up! punches, the Scallop Trim Border Punch. Rose Red Seam Binding is easily scrunched simply by pulling a thread. And what better vintage touch than a sprinkle of kisses from the Color Spritzer Tool?
I hope that you enjoyed today’s card and stampin’ tips. If you did, would you please leave me a comment? I know that many of you have said that you begin your day with me, and that you look forward to my posts. The same is true of me…I look forward to your visits, your comments, and our stamping friendship! And as always, if you have any questions about the cards that I create or the techniques that I use, I am only an email away! Until next time…

Can We Go, Too?

One of the favorite things that the Twins love to do in the morning is watch the children walk to school. I happened to snap this picture of them “people watching” Tuesday morning. Muffy is standing on the back of the couch. What about those muscles! She now weighs in at 52 pounds. Brody is a whopping 57 pounds…and they are just turning 7 months! Wish them luck as they head off to the the show ring this weekend!
