It’s Thursday, and we all know that this is the day we play at Pals Paper Arts. This week we are hosting a Clean and Simple Challenge…Add Ribbon! I recycled a previous Margaret Moody sketch to create another Christmas card for my son, Brady, to give away. He needed a music motif, so I pulled out the Music Notes wheel and opted to use the Dasher stamp. Dasher is one of my favorite stamps, a blend of elegance and Art Deco! I hope you enjoy!
(Finished dimensions: 5-1/4″ x 5-1/4″)
When creating Clean and Classy cards, look for deep textures and rich colors to impart a natural elegance!
- Classy colors! Cherry Cobbler, Very Vanilla and Brushed Gold are a rich color combination!
- Tempting Textures! The Snow Burst Textured Impressions Embossing Folder provides the perfect backdrop. And don’t overlook ribbons to add even more texture. Cherry Cobbler Quilted Satin Ribbon not only adds texture, but also a gorgeous sheen.
- Regal Richness! Heat embossing with Gold Stampin’ Emboss Powder exudes elegance! Just stamp the image with VersaMark, sprinkle with Stampin’ Emboss Powder, shake off the excess, and heat it up using Stampin’ Up!’s Heat Tool. The Wheel Guide is a must for rolling out straight lines of Music Notes.
- Beautiful Bow! Cherry Cobbler Seam Binding is transformed into a beautiful bow. The loops are shaped and held in place with the help of Mini Glue Dots. I love Stampin’ Up!’s Seam Binding for making the perfect bow. It is soft and easy to shape!
I hope you enjoyed today’s card, and that you will let me know your thoughts in today’s comment! Your comments are important to me, and I do read each and every one! And remember, I LOVE answering your questions about the cards I make and the techniques that I use. I am always just an email away! Until next time…
