Shelli Gardner on The Today Show

In case you missed Shelli Gardner, CEO and Founder of Stampin’ Up! on the Today Show this morning, here is the clip.  I am so proud to be associated with this company and their philanthropic programs.

Stamp Camp Fun and Paper Winner

My local stamping friends will be making these tags as part of a Mini-Stamp Camp Tuesday evening.  In addition to these vintage Winter Post tags, they will also be making a coordinating card, gift bag and lip balm holder to complete the set.  They also had the option of selecting a “cutesy” set made using the Polar Party set if vintage was not their cup of tea.

Thank goodness two Schach Pack members, Staci Ralston and Amanda Almendinger, are joining in the fun! We certainly had a ton of paper to cut!

Designer Paper Winner

Well…I didn’t fool very many of you with my “Are there pearls” question did I?  Of course, there were pearls! The lucky winner of the retired Stampin’ Up! Designer Series Paper, as selected by a random number generator is Heather.  Here is Heather’s comment:

Heather said…
Seriously? Ann Schach and pearls is like peas and carrots. Of course it will have pearls and I bet they’ll be colored red! Looking forward to the reveal!

Heather, if you will send me your address, I will send your paper to you  pronto! I would like to thank all of you who played along and had some fun with me.  There will be more opportunities to win free paper coming up soon!

It’s a Busy Week Ahead

This week’s schedule does not allow for very much stamping time.  With Stamp Camp on Tuesday, delivering Brody the Boxer to Michelle the Handler on Wednesday, and Brady the Boy’s concerts on Thursday and Friday, my time is filled.  Plus, I am behind with my emails and I apologize for that.  But rest assured that I will definitely be back with a peek at my Pals Paper Arts card, and it’s reveal.  As always, if you ever have any questions about the cards that I create or the techniques that I use, I am only an email away.  Until next time…

Fabulous Florets for The Paper Players

It’s Sunday and time to play with The Paper Players!  This week the talented Nance Leedy is challenging us to create something Christmas with non-holiday stamps or colors in our Holiday Hoopla Challenge.  I elected to use Fabulous Florets as my non-holiday stamp.  I hope that you enjoy my Christmas Love card!

The Stampin’ Schach Design Tips: Adding Richness in Minutes
This card measure 4-1/4″ wide x 5-1/2″ long.

  • Texture!  The Snow Burst Textured Impressions Embossing Folder adds interest in a matter of minutes, and lends richness to even the simplest of layouts!

  • Embossing! The Fabulous Florets image was inked in VersaMark and stamped onto Very Vanilla card stock.  Heat embossing with Cherry Cobbler Stampin’ Emboss Powder followed, taking the image from ho-hum to yum-yum!

  • Customize! Make your own sentiment! Using a Cherry Cobbler Stampin’ Write Marker, I selectively inked the words “Christmas” and “love” from two separate images in the Come to Bethlehem set.  Since I plan on giving this card to my husband, I specifically wanted this phrase.  A snippet of Cherry Cobbler Seam Binding and a quartet of custom colored Black Basic Pearls draws the eye right in!

The sky is the limit when creating holiday cards from non-holiday stamps or non-traditional colors! I know that I am excited to see what you create this week!  Oh…and as you noticed…I did indeed have pearls on my card.  Were you the winner of retired Stampin’ Up! Designer Series Paper in my “Pearls or No Pearls” contest?  Find out in an upcoming post.

So what did you think of my Fabulous Florets Christmas Love card?  Won’t you let me know in your comment today?  Your comments are important to me, and I do read each and every one.  And of course, if you ever have any questions about the cards that I create or the techniques that I use, I am only an email away! Until next time…
