It’s Sunday, and time to play with The Paper Players. This week the talented Sandy is hosting a Clean and Simple challenge with a twist: Use gold or silver on your project. Because Muffy and I are on the road and I was pressed for creating time, I was thrilled this card came together so quickly and easily. It also helped that I had a fabulous sketch to use…last week’s Freshly Made Sketches #157. Enjoy!
The Stampin’ Schach’s Design Tips
This finished card is 4-1/4″ wide by 5-1/2″ long.
- Seeing stars! The star focal point of this card was made by using the Star Framelits, Under the Tree Specialty Designer Series Paper, and Brushed Gold cardstock. A Gold Basic Metal Button with a Gold Metallic Baker’s Twine bow is the perfect accent. Don’t you love how the Tree design peeks through the cutout?
- Very merry! The “Merry” sentiment is from one of my favorite holiday sentiment sets, Endless Wishes. Call me crazy, but I just might buy a second Endless Wishes set to keep forever…just in case something would ever happen to my original set. That’s how much I LOVE this set.
- Lovely layers! Yes, I may have gone a wee bit overboard with the layers on this card, but I like how Brushed Gold looks with Cherry Cobbler. The card base is the new Kraft cardstock, which coordinates perfectly with the Under the Tree collection.
I hope you enjoyed today’s card. I think it has a touch of country elegance. What do you think? Won’t you let me know in today’s comment? Your comments are important to me. Of course, if you ever have a question about the cards I create or the techniques I use, I am only an email away. Until next time…
