It’s Thursday, and time to play with the Pals at Pals Paper Arts! This week is a color challenge: Crushed Curry, Old Olive, Pumpkin Pie. I thought they would be perfect colors to create a fall wreath…one of the cool ones decorated with fruit. I hope you enjoy today’s card, which uses Freshly Made Sketch #161 as my layout inspiration.
The Stampin’ Schach Design Tips
This finished card measures 4-1/4″ wide and 5-1/2″ long.
- Ins-pear-ation! The Pear image from the Partridge and Pears set was inked in Soft Suede and stamped onto the Crushed Curry pattern from the Flowerpot Designer Series Paper collection. Five pears were created, snipped out and used to decorate the Old Olive and Crushed Curry Wondrous Wreath. The berries are Pearls colored using a Pumpkin Pie Blendability.
- Bow! A layered bow was crafted from Pumpkin Pie Cotton Ribbon. A Gold Basic Metal Button, strung with Linen Thread, adorns its middle.
- Grateful! The Grateful sentiment, from the Gratitude for Days stamp set, was inked with Soft Suede, and popped up on dimensionals.
I am a fan of wreaths, especially when they are adorned with fruit and berries. In fact, I think one of my projects this weekend will be to create a holiday wreath for the front door! It may sound strange, but today’s card has inspired me to start my holiday decorating, baking, and candy making! I can’t wait!
I left this card “clean”, but now I wonder if I should have added some “speckles”. What do you think? Won’t you let me know in your comment? Your comments are important to me. And remember, if you ever have a question about the cards I create or the techniques I use, I am only an email away. Until next time…
