Nature’s Perfection for The Paper Players

IMG_1812It’s Sunday, and time to play with The Paper Players! This week I am hosting a Clean and Simple Floral Challenge:  Feature flowers on your Clean and Simple card.   How easy is that! And speaking of easy…it doesn’t get any easier than my card today.  I let the FREE Sale-a-Bration product, Sheer Perfection Designer Vellum Paper do all the work! I hope you will play along with us this week.  Remember, if it is clean and simple to you, it is clean and simple to us!

This folded card measures 4-1/4″ wide by 5-1/2″ long.

  • Sequins! Bermuda Bay Sequins add a touch of sparkle to the gorgeous Floral Vellum! I used Glue Dots to attach these, and added a mini-Pearl to the middle of each.

  • Bermuda Bay Butterfly! The Butterfly image from the FREE Sale-a-Bration stamp set, Nature’s Perfection, was inked with Bermuda Bay ink, and stamped onto Whisper White cardstock.  The Elegant Butterfly Punch was used to punch it out.  How easy is that?

  • Triple bow! A triple bow was created using Coastal Cabana ribbon from the FREE Sale-a-Bration item, Best Year Ever Accessory Pack.  It was adhered into position over Whisper White Organza ribbon, trimmed with a snippet of Bermuda Bay sequins.

Usually I spend hours designing the cards I create, so I almost feel a little guilty that I created such a pretty card in a matter of minutes.  Because of the “For You” sentiment, which was from the Mother’s Love set, I think I could use this card for a variety of occasions, from birthdays to graduations to anniversarys to weddings.  What do you think? Won’t you let me know in today’s comment? Your comments are important to me, and I do read each and every one. Of course, if you ever have a question about the cards I create, or the techniques I use, I am only an email away. Until next time…

Easter Delivery…Puppies!

Instead of Easter eggs, we at The Stampin’ Schach are expecting a batch of mini-Muffins in a few weeks.  If all goes well, Muffy will deliver her puppies Easter weekend.

The sire of the litter is Am Ch/Can GCh. Shadigee’s Calculated Risk (Kaden).

Kaden Ad BDThose of you who are new to The Stampin’ Schach may not be familiar with Muffy.  She is GCH. Cimarron’s Do You Know the Muffin Man, my first show dog and the sweetest girl ever.  She, along with her littermate, Brody, and “sister”, Lexi, are my constant companions.

Fullscreen capture 12192014 63016 PMMuffy’s past few weeks have been spent sleeping and eating.  She is starting to look uncomfortable.  I do believe I can see “Mini-Muffins” baking for sure.  How about you?

IMG_0530Today marks the end of week #6.  I’ll be sure to post a picture every Friday until she whelps.  In the meantime, keep her in your thoughts for a safe delivery and healthy babies.  Until next time…

Blender Pen and Inks Butterfly Basics for Pals Paper Arts

Butterfly BasicsIt’s Thursday, and time to play with the Pals at Pals Paper Arts! This week, we have a soft and gorgeous trio of colors with which to work:  Pink Pirouette, Pistachio Pudding, Soft Sky.  I decided to indulge in a little faux watercoloring, and pulled out my Blender Pens and inks.  Enjoy!

The Stampin’ Schach Design Tips
This folded card measures 4-1/4″ wide and 5-1/2″ long.

  • Blender Pen Beauty! The flowers from Butterfly Basics were faux watercolored using Blender Pens, Pink Pirouette and Pistachio Pudding inks.  Tips:  Use StazOn ink, and make certain your Blender Pen is wet.  Remove a smidge of color, before working on your image…you can always add more color if the hue is too light!

Butterfly Basics-002

  • Black Butterflies! The Butterfly images were inked with Memento Black ink, and then stamped off once before stamping onto Whisper White cardstock.  The coordinating punch and die makes easy work of punching them out.   Of course, I couldn’t resist adding a few pearls.  (Please note: The Butterfly Thinlits Die 137360 is temporarily not orderable.)

Butterfly Basics-003

  • Beautiful Bow!  A Whisper White Organza bow adds a touch of texture.  As always, I used my old-school cardboard bowmaker!  THIS VIDEO  (from my archives) gives you the dimensions in case you want to make your own bowmaker.

Butterfly Basics-001There is something so soft and serene about this card.  My sister has an April birthday, and I think it will perfect for her.  What do you think? Won’t you let me know in your comment today? Your comments are important to me, and I do read each and every one! As always, if you ever have a question about the cards I create or the techniques I use, I am only an email away! Until next time…
