Puppy News

While I was in Hawaii, enjoying Stampin’ Up!’s Grand Vacation, the puppies were visiting a fellow Boxer friend.  Of course, when all 9 dogs were reunited late Monday evening,  there were lots of play bows and tail wags.  I snapped this cute picture of Uncle Brody with Bunny Kadenza on the left and Kia KiKi on the right.  Brody absolutely adores the babies, and is so gentle with them.  Little Lexi, on the other hand, prefers a more rough and tumble form of play which keeps the bold and confident boys coming back for more.

Now it is catch-up time, as I did not take my laptop with me to Hawaii.  But I am excited to get back into the groove.  As always, if you have any questions, don’t hesitate to email me! Until next time…

In This Together for The Paper Players

IMG_2205It’s Sunday, and time to play with The Paper Players! This week the “Queen of Clean”, Jaydee, is hosting a Clean and Simple Challenge for us:  Create a Clean and Simple “Girly” Thanks.  I inked up Stampin’ Up!’s In This Together stamp set for the first time, and was thrilled with my clean and simple results.  It’s so different from what I usually create.  I hope you enjoy it!

This card measures 4-1/4″ wide by 5-1/2″ long when folded.

  • New In Colors!  The image from In This Together was watercolored using Blender Pens and new 2015 – 2017 In ColorsMint Macaron was used for the raincoat, while Tip Top Taupe was used for the boots. Watermelon Wonder was used for the dress and top.  The mini-skirt is Delightful Dijon. I am already in love wtih these four colors.  Cucumber Crush was just a tad too bright for today’s card, but I can’t wait to try it out, too.

  • New lace ribbon!  It was love at first sight when I saw the new 1″ Dotted Lace Trim.  It makes gorgeous double ribbons as you can see.  This one is in Mint Macaron.

IMG_2201-003

  • Feeling sentimental!  In order to come up with “Thanks, my friend”, I simply used two stamp sets: And Many More and Another Thank You.  How easy is that!

IMG_2201-006I had a blast creating this card.  I think the lace ribbon added the perfect “girly” touch to a girly image!  What do you think? Won’t you let me know in your comment today?  Your comments are important, and I do read each and every one. And remember, if you ever have a question about the cards I create or the techniques I use, I am only an email away.  Until next time…Aloha!

“Sneak Peek” Friendly Wishes for Pals Paper Arts

IMG_2195It’s time to play at Pals Paper Arts! This week we are featuring a trio of bright and cheery colors.  I thought they would be perfect to pair with the sneak peek set, Friendly Wishes,  from Stampin’ Up!’s  2015 – 2016 Annual Catalog. I hope you enjoy this fun card! PPA251The Stampin’ Schach Design Tips
This finished card measures 4-1/4″ wide x 5-1/2″ long.

  • Markers!  Stampin’ Write Markers were used to color this delightful image from the new Friendly Wishes set. Daffodil Delight was used to highlight the flourishes, while Tempting Turquoise was selected to fill in the word “Friend” and Melon Mambo the heart.

  • Ribbons!  Island Indigo cotton ribbon served as a substitute for Tempting Turquoise, and was used to tie a bow around the heart clip from the Basic Hodgepodge Clips Collection.  A snippet of Melon Mambo ribbon was added for a splash of color!

  • Bling! Rhinestones were used to add a touch of bling.  They worked perfectly on the arrow, which was created with the What’s Up? punch.  Although I purchased this punch early on, I stuck it in a drawer, and never used it.  Sadly it is on the Retiring List…but I will continue to use it.  The arrow is a perfect way to draw attention to a word or phrase, especially when accented with rhinestones.

IMG_2195-002I hope you liked today’s card and the sneak peek of this new stamp set.  Won’t you let me know what you think in today’s comment?  I am excited about the new catalog for sure.  However, I have to make sure I don’t do what I did with the What’s Up? punch.  I totally forgot I had it.  Yikes! As always, if you have any questions about the cards I create or the techniques I use, I am only an email away.  Until next time…
