You’ve Got This for The Paper Players

IMG_2556It’s Sunday, and time to play with The Paper Players! The talented Sandy is hosting a color challenge for us this week:  Real Red, Pool Party, Island Indigo.  I have been wanting to play with some of the new products from the 2015 – 2016 Annual Catalog, and this seemed like the perfect time.  I hope you enjoy today’s card!

This finished card measures 4-1/4″ x 5-1/2″.

  • Crazy for Polka Dots! The patterns in the new Designer Series Paper Stacks are awesome! I selected the Soft Sky Polka Dots from the Subtle Collection for my background.

  • Hello on a brick wall! The new Greetings Thinlits were used to create the Island Indigo “hello” die cut.  It looks great against new Brick Wall embossed backdrop.

  • Floral fusion! Two new floral sets were used to create the floral focal point.  The Real Red watercolored Flower is from You’ve Got This, while the watercolored Old Olive Leaves are from Remarkable You.

IMG_2556-002I was a little concerned at first about using these leaves, because the style is a little different than the style of the flower…but I think they coordinate just fine.  What do you think? Won’t you let me know in today’s comment? Your comments are important to me.  And remember…if you ever have a question about the cards I create, or the techniques I use, I am only an email away! Until next time…

I already have many cards in mind to use this with. especially the masculine cards. I also want the DSP stacks, but wish the polka dot itself was white, like the old stack a few years back. Hugs.

Ann this is stunning! I wondered about the real red with the pool party but it looks wonderful on your card! I love the richness of the flower! The leaves are gorgeously colored too and I think look great on there. I wondered why they didn’t have leaves in that set anyway! I think I really like that brick wall embossing folder. Of course the pearls are the crowning touch! I loved Mike’s comments about the pearls on your last post or two! Beautiful card!
