Oh, boy! What a week this has been! I have been quite under the weather. My sweet Paper Player teammates were very supportive and understanding when I was not sure I would be able to pull together a card for PP781 this week. However, I was able to rally myself for a short period of time to create a card that is quicker and easier than I typically make, but still has the touch of elegance I love. And you know what? That is just fine, becomes sometimes quicker and easier is just what the doctor ordered! It’s Sunday and time to play with The Paper Players!

This week, superstar Jan is hosting our monthly color challenge. What a wonderful trio of colors she has for us: Basic Black, Smoky Slate, Daffodil Delight. I took the opportunity to show off a few, new products from Stampin’ Up!’s upcoming May – August 2026 Catalog to create this floral card. However, the sky is the limit on what you can do with this versatile trio of hues. I can’t wait to see what YOU create. But before you head off to gather your stamps, papers and inks, please stop by and leave my incredible Design Teammates, who work so hard to inspire you weekly, some “Comment Love”. It brightens our day!

The Stampin’ Schach Design Tips
Did you already spot the new products I used to create today’s card? No, it’s not the Smoky Slate paper. That is from the Neutrals 6″ x 6″ designer series paper pack, which is on the Last Chance list. Nope, it’s not the Daffodil Delight Beautiful Bokeh paper, also on the Last Chance list, but you are getting closer! You’ve got it!!! It’s the large, scalloped circle die cut, created with the soon-to-be released Scalloped Blooms dies AND the stunning black Floral Flight Accents die cut. Both of these products will be available when the catalog goes live on May 5th. Be sure to add them to your “Gotta Have” list. The Lovely Arrangements stamp set and dies were used to create the sentiments. Of course, a healthy dose of bling is called for. The result was a card which came together quickly and easily, with a touch of elegance.

Lovely card! Hope you are feeling better.
Ann, I love those bold florals on the yellow background. The introduction of the grey cement adds a wonderful touch of lightness and texture. An absolutely striking card.

What a perfect example of less is more Ann – three beautiful layers, a hint of texture to the grey and yellow as a result of the blended colour pattern and that black diecut is so dramatic – love the touch of sparkle from the rhinestones too. Hope you are feeling better!
Ann, your cards always have a touch of elegance and the black floral die cut certainly fits the bill, along with the bling! Your simple design is perfect for these colors. I hope you’re starting to feel better.
Hugs,
Stef
I hope you are feeling much, much better now, Ann! Get lots of rest until you’re feeling more like yourself, says Dr. Daphne. Your card might be quicker than normal, but it is still so chic and elegant–I love the contrast of the black die cut flower with the soft patterns and colors behind it. Gorgeous!
Goodness, I don’t think I’ve been called a superstar before! Thank you! Glad you were feeling well enough to put together this beauty. While you say it was quick, it looks as though you lavished much time on it. Love use of the silhouette flower. It was clever of you to use the Smoky Slate DSP like a white for the card front and sentiment – very stylish. Hope you’re on the mend soon, Ann. 🙂
This is such a striking card–that yellow scallop behind the black diecut is just lovely! Everything works together so nicely! I am glad to hear you’re feeling a bit better–at least well enough to stamp!
Really like how the black pops and of course th e bling😉💜
Hi Ann
Hope your feeling better. I am sure your fur babies are taking good care of you. Love the card. I’m not finding the floral accent die cuts in the new catalogue. I’d like to place them on my next pre order. Can you give me the item number. Your help is much appreciated.
Ann, I just hope you are feeling much better now! I love this elegant beauty you “pulled” together. You are so talented and I love every detail of the card. The background papers and the yellow scalloped background are perfect to showcase this gorgeous black floral die cut! That bling made me SMILE! Just wow! Take care of you and have a great week, My Friend!
Sorry you have been under the weather – hope you are better every day! I bet you found a pup or two to snuggle with! Your card is glam!
Sure doesn’t look quick and easy! You do have that special touch!
Beautiful. Sometimes less is best. Nice touch with the little touch of bling.
Glad you’re feeling better
