Hello, Pretty In Pink! In this pink picnic-style check you are pretty indeed! Paired up with a lovely floral pattern and a cheery hello, this card will be a day brightener for sure. It’s time to play with The Paper Players!

This week, the incomparable LeAnne is our host. Since it is the fifth Sunday of the month, she has a fun Tic-Tac-Toe challenge for us. To create my “Hello, Pretty In Pink” card, I went right across the top row, selecting flowers, pink and ribbon. I can’t wait to see what YOU select!

The Stampin’ Schach Design Tips
Sometimes it’s hip to be square, especially when it comes to card making! This square layout provides a wide border to show off the Pretty In Pink designer series paper. Both it and the lovely floral pattern are from the Lily Pond Lane collection. The circle was die cut from a pattern found in the Everyday Skies collection using a Stylish Shapes circle die. It coordinates beautifully with the floral pattern. To add depth and dimension, I cut out blossoms from a second piece of paper, and popped them onto the corresponding flowers using dimensionals. Using an old Jelly Roll Clear Star pen, I outlined the flowers and leaves on the image to add a touch of sparkle. It is much prettier in person than reflected in this picture. The “hello” sentiment from the Beautiful Butterflies set is one of my favorites. I love the font! To finish off this easy card, three Iridescent Faceted Gems were added to the centers of the “popped-up” blossoms for a lovely touch of bling. The result is another easy-peasy card that I can’t wait to send.

Nueve’s Notes
Hey, Mom’s stampin’ friends! It’s me, Nueve! I visited Doc Rita Wednesday for my four week checkup. Mom was sad and disappointed. Doc Rita said I still was not putting all my weight on my owie leg. She said it will take time for me to heal, and I still have at least eight more weeks of ‘cuperation time. I’m still on all my meds and have to go back in for my six week checkup. I still can’t run or play with Sixxy and Uncle Q. But even though I can’t run and play with them, I can still cuddle.

Cuddling is just part of my job. I am a Working Dog! I am Good Boy Nueve!

I love the pink, the gingham, the square design – and great showcase of the lilypond pattern too. I see you were inspired to use last week’s sketch layout again too – it’s a keeper 😉 Such a pretty card Ann! Sending Nueve a big hug – he is having to be very brave and patient, for sure.
The square format suits the gingham perfectly – or maybe it’s the other way around? 🙂
The way you’ve popped up the flowers then outlined them really elevates the card to the next level. The touch of Pretty Peacock makes the whole design sing. Lovely card, Ann.
Love the card. The outlines really make the flowers pop. Oh, Nueve, I’m sorry your healing is going slower than we’d all like. Get well soon!
Oh Ann, you had me at the pink gingham! So pretty, and all those flowers make your square card look like one big bouquet! Love the little extra sparkle you gave them too. I agree, the font on that sentiment is just delightful! Now, poor Nueve….another several weeks of not romping around is just too hard for an active pup like him! Hope he heals up QUICKLY!
Beautiful Card!!! Nueve we hope you leg heals on up. I know it is hard for you not to be able to run and play.
So spring like! Now I need to dig out my old Jelly Roll gel pens for some extra sparkle…thanks for the great idea!
Hang in there, Nueve! I know you and your mom are disappointed, but at least you get to spend more time together. Butterscotch and I send our best wishes.
You always have the best color combos, Ann. I LOVE the pink and peach with the peacock! The mix of gingham and floral papers works beautifully and those sweet flowers with the sparkle – the perfect touch!
I’m so sorry about Neuve. I guess it’s a game of patience. I hope the next checkup yields a better outcome.
You had me with the gingham!
Rest up Nueve. Give lots of cuddles to everyone. Doc Rita knows what is best.
Gorgeous card. Really like the layout as well as them beautiful flowers and papers.
Nerve; get well soon. Hugs and prayers are with you.
Ann… lovely is the only word.
Your card is beautiful, Ann, but the photo of Nueve cuddling is even more beautiful. I hope the 6 week checkup will be a more positive one.
Ann, this is GORGEOUS!!!!! That beautiful pink and white gingham had me at hello! The floral paper is so beautiful, too! I love how you popped those pretty flowers, too! I would never have thought of this color combo and I think it is just fantastic Pretty Peacock is a favorite of mine! You made me smile with this happy card!
Nueve and Mom are in my prayers. I know it has to be so hard to keep him still. Warm hugs to both of you!
Absolutely wonderful! I am a sucker for gingham as much as I am for plaid and I love pink. Poor Nueve – I hope he ‘cuperates soon!
I love how you outlined the popped up flowers.
