Clean and Simple Hello for PP721
Today’s clean and simple hello card is a perfect example of a card that can be customized for a variety of occasions. Simply switch out the sentiment and ta-da! It’s a birthday card! It’s a thank you card! It’s a romantic card! It’s whatever words fit inside the confines of the stamped envelope. It’s time to play with The Paper Players!

This week the fabulous Jaydee is hosting our monthly Clean and Simple Challenge, with the theme of “Postman, Bring Me A Letter” – anything postal themed. How fun is that! I just happened to have just the right stamp set … Stampin’ Up!’s “Angel Policy” set found on page 144 of the Annual Catalog. I can’t wait to see what YOU create! But remember, this is a CLEAN and SIMPLE challenge. Before you run off to gather your stamps, papers, and inks, keep in mind that when The Paper Players use the term “clean and simple”, we mean cards that:
Have minimal layers and embellishments
Have plenty of open space
Are simple and uncluttered

The Stampin’ Schach Design Tips
In my eyes, Clean and Simple doesn’t mean the same thing as Quick and Easy! While today’s card is relatively easy, it is not necessarily quick. The mailbox image was stamped three times in Berry Burst ink onto Basic White cardstock, Bubble Bath cardstock, and Fresh Freesia cardstock. The Fresh Freesia mailbox served as my base. Next, I fussy cut out the top/side and fancy faceplate from the Bubble Bath image and adhered it to the Fresh Freesia base. Finally, I fussy cut the letter from the Basic White image and added it to the image. It wasn’t difficult work, but did take a wee bit of time. Of course, If you are not a lover of fussy-cutting, the mailbox would look just as lovely in a single color. In keeping with the postage theme, I created a panel from Basic White using the Perennial Postage dies. Because I wanted to add yummy texture, I embossed the Basic White panel with the Starstruck embossing folder, which one of the Sale-A-Bration options when you place an order of $60 or more (before tax and postage). A little bit-o-bling was achieved with a trio of Purple Adhesive Backed Sequins, another Sale-A-Bration offering, and by using a glitter gel pen over the mail slot and decorative scroll work. (I tried to give you a glimpse of the glitter by really enhancing the sharpness of the picture. It is so lovely in real life!)

Ann… same paper and sketch as Joanne, and yet a completely different card…love it! The small bows are a wonderful addition.
Ann, this is just a fantastic card! That embossing folder is amazing! This postal box is just so fun and your card made me smile~ glitter does that for me! I hope you have a great weekend!
Ann, I love all that fabulous texture and that you kept the colors to a minimum. The elements really shine on the page. Oh.. the glitter and the rhinestones are the perfect finishing touch. Thanks for rocking my challenge this week
hugs
jaydee
We were definitely channelling each other this week Ann – that post box is a winner! I’ve never stamped it in anything other than pillar box red, but I love this two-toned pink version – a very Barbie-esque vibe! Love that background EF too.
SO cute…I told Joanne I almost used this set myself. You’ve inspired me to get it out and play with it before the big LOVE holiday! Your colors are perfect too!
Such a lovely card. I do like that embossing folder
I have to admit; I really don’t do very many Valentine’s Day cards.
Enjoy your day. Stay safe and stay warm.
Big Hugs to your ‘kids.’
This is such a pretty card, Ann! The fussy cutting and glitter pen details really make that post box rock along with the added texture from the ef! Fabulous card!
I really like the way you’ve added some subtle bling-i-ness to the box and the way the letter breaks the frame. Great use of the SAB folder too – it really is very pretty and very useful. Have a great week. 🙂
What a cute card!!! I just got that embossing folder and now I can’t wait to try it out myself!!! Hope y’all are doing better!!!
Ann… you are right! Truly a versatile card!
Your card is ah-dorable!! I couldn’t figure out where you got this stamp set & finally found it in the back of the AC. I totally missed it! I especially love the details of the glitter and multi-color mailbox and, of course, the postage die works perfectly with a mailbox theme. The SAB embossing folder is on my list & I can see lots of occasions to use it. Thanks for sharing.
I hope you & Kim are feeling better! Huggs from blustery Florida
