Heartfelt Love and Caring Thoughts Card

Heartfelt love and caring thoughts are perfect words of encouragement and comfort. It’s Sunday and time to play with The Paper Players!

This week I have the pleasure of hosting our sketch challenge, which features a sketch with a distinct “frame”.  I had a ton of fun creating mine with “mitered” corners out of distressed “wood”.  I can’t wait to see what YOU create!

The Stampin’ Schach Design Tips

The Country Woods designer series paper collection had exactly what I was looking for to create my “barnwood” frame for today’s sketch. Instead of going with one of the pieces that had more traditional wood tones, I went with the one that had some Misty Moonlight, Petal Pink and Pool Party in it. I then created a lovely bouquet of floral die cuts using the Painted Lavender dies.  I was looking for a sentiment which would convey these specific thoughts, so I went with one from the retired Quiet Meadow stamp set. Punched out and matted onto a Misty Moonlight deckled circle, it was perfect!

Nueve’s Notes

Hi, everybody! It’s me, Nueve! I am home from a trip to Floor-dah. First, we saw my brother Brady and his wife Korin. They were having a big after – wedding party in Tampa. They brought me toys and played with me.  Then I got to play show dog with Michelle.  I won lots of ribbons.  Here are two of them. I made sure to count them.

Nueve in Tampa

I also won a bed, but it was too little for me, ’cause I’m a big boy now. I gave it to Michelle ’cause she has babies that can use it.

Nueve TampaMichelle was happy I was being such a good boy.  She gave me a BIG hug!

Nueve TampaBut I was even happier when I won my new favorite toy!  It squeaks really good.  I played with it in the yard where we were staying. There were also lizards to play with, too. I chased them on the fence. One even got in the house.  Mom caught it in a plastic glass and took it outside. Then she caught a second one. It was in the fridgerater. It wasn’t moving. Mom took it outside. It warmed up and ran away.

Nueve toys

I had a fun time playing show dog with Michelle.  I had a fun time going to Brady’s party. I also had fun playing with my new toys and yard lizards. Sometimes life is about having fun. I am a Working Dog who knows how to have fun! I am Good Boy Nueve!

Ann this is fabulous! Those papers really make the most of the sketch and frame and your diecuts co-ordinate beautifully. I love the ribbon for the horizontal too. A beautiful card as always! And congratulations to Neuve too!

Ann, hope all 9is safe where you live.
Heard a little bit on the news here. News didn’t give much except that a levy had broke and flooded the area. But heard from my friend who lives in Storm Lake that 25 roads in and around the Spencer area are closed.
    Stay safe and stay cool

Oh my wow!!! That card just blew me away! The frame – I’m stunned. I will definitely try to recreate this. The colors and the paper and all that are wonderful too. And Nueve and Michelle – I love their love. Thanks for sharing.
