“You’re in my thoughts.” These four words can truly show someone how much you care about them. It’s Sunday and time to play with The Paper Players.
This week the sweet and talented Jaydee is hosting our monthly color challenge. What a gorgeous collection of colors she has selected for us: green, pink, yellow, black and white. Don’t you LOVE it! While I created a card with pink and yellow blossoms and green leaves, the sky is the limit on how these hues can be used. I can’t wait to see what YOU create!
The Stampin’ Schach Design Tips
I love the Lifetime of Love stamp set and dies. The roses image looks so sweet, colored in Bubble Bath pink, while the small Lemon Lolly flowers bring a smile to my face. They are so cute. I did a little experimenting by using the Floral folder from the Basics 3D Embossing Folders collection to form the backdrop for the floral image and die cuts. Usually I use the more subtle patterns of embossing folders. Looking back at the finished card, I wish I would have used something a little more subtle. As they say, hindsight is 20-20. But one thing I would not change is the Basic Black Perennial Postage frame. I like the bold, graphic look it imparts. Of course, I could not resist finishing the card with sparkling rhinestones in the centers of those sweet little Lemon Lolly flowers.

I love the double-embossing Ann (maybe using them the other way around would have made the centre less busy?) but I totally agree on the black postage border – so striking. Love the leafy ring with the pretty florals too – a beautiful, subtle touch.
I think every part of your card is awesome. Love those little rhinestone-embellished Lemon Lolly flowers….so sweet! And your florals are just as gorgeous! I agree, that black frame sets everything off perfectly!
