I am “thinking of you this festive season”. What better way to let family and friends know that you are holding them in your thoughts than with this sentiment. It’s Sunday and time to play with The Paper Players. 
This week sweet Claire is hosting our monthly color challenge. What a fun one it is: Melon Mambo, Tahitian Tide, Real Red, Black & White. I opted to create a predominately white card with accents in the other colors. I can’t wait to see what YOU create! Before you run off to collect your stamps, papers and inks, please note that this is our final challenge of 2024. Where has the time gone? But never fear…we will be back on January 7th with more fun challenges!
The Stampin’ Schach Design Tips
I will admit that Claire’s lovely colors had me stumped. I wanted to create a holiday card, but I wasn’t quite sure how to get everything to work. Luckily I remembered some excellent design advice which I had been given: When in doubt, use a neutral as the main color and accent with the others. Once I decided that was going to be my plan of action, it was easy. The result is stunning in person. Gorgeous Melon Mambo foil was used for the card base, while Tahitian Tide was used to mat the Tuxedo Black sentiment. Three trios of Real Red rhinestones (one group is hidden by the bow) were used as accents.

Nueve’s Notes
Hi, Everybody! It’s me, Nueve! I haven’t been able to talk with you lately. Mom and Dad and I have been very busy playing show dog. Well, I play show dog. Mom and Dad clap and cheer for me. Guess where I am right now! I am in Floor-da. I am going to go to the National Championships in Ore-land-oh. But first we stopped for three days at a place called New Berry. I like berries. I eat blueberries and strawberries. After I played show dog, I got to go explore New Berry. Dad took pictures of me and Mom. They had a special place where I could mail my Christmas letter to Santa Paws. I told Santa I have been a very good boy. I snuggle with Mom and make her smile. I told him I would like more sloth balls. I accidentally bit the nose off my old one. Plus, I would like my own package of Roberta Cookies that I don’t have to share with Sixxy.
I also practiced being Santa’s Helper. I got to go in Santa’s special house and look out the window.
Then Mom pretended to be a gingerbread person. I ate a gingerbread cookie once, and I didn’t like it as much as I like Roberta Cookies.
We also went to City Hall. They had a Christmas tree, but it wasn’t real. I was not allowed to potty on it. Christmas Trees are not “Potty Trees”. It was cold in New Berry, so Mom wore her sweatshirt all day.
Mom saw this really pretty arch. She said that back when she was a teacher, her students would have special pictures called Senior pictures taken in places like this. She laughed and said she was a Senior Citizen, so she would pose there. Dad thought that was funny. I wagged my tail. I always wag my tail when they laugh.
Finally, Mom and I had our picture taken on the porch of City Hall. I’m glad she was done taking pictures, because I needed to go find a “Potty Tree”.
We still have to show at the BIG National Show. It is next Sunday. I can’t wait. I LOVE to play show dog with Michelle. It makes Mom, Dad and Michelle happy. Making my family happy is part of my job. I am a working dog. I am Good Boy Nueve!

Ann, if you were stumped by Claire’s color challenge, one would never know! It’s a beautiful snowy card with just enough color and texture to make it really festive.

Ann, I love all that fabulous texture on the white layer. The pink mirror cardstock as the base adds a wonderful touch of shimmer and shine and, of course, the perfectly tied bow is the perfect finishing touch! Loved your photos – and yes… the senior citizen photo came out beautifully. Good luck in Or-land-oh!!!
