No bones about it, you’re a sweet friend! With its adorable sentiments and cute images, the Bag of Bones bundle stole my heart. After all, how could I resist this adorable skeleton dog. No bones about it, I LOVE it. It’s Sunday and time to play with The Paper Players!
This week lovely LeAnne has a fun color challenge for us:
When I saw this delightful palette, my thoughts turned to Halloween. I have been itching to ink up the Bag of Bones stamp set, and I saw this challenge as the perfect opportunity to do so. However, as you can see from the Design Team’s variety of cards, this is a very versatile combination of colors. I can’t wait to see what YOU create!
The Stampin’ Schach Design Tips
No bones about it, I taught anatomy back in the day, and no bones about it, I love dogs. How could I not buy a stamp set that included such adorable images? I stamped the three skeletons in Old Olive, Pumpkin Pie, and Highland Heather, and placed them in front of a scene created with black cardstock die cuts. The large full moon has a shimmer courtesy of Wink of Stella, while a pair of pesky glow-in-the-dark ghosts haunt the woods.

Nueve’s Notes
Hey everybody, it’s me, Nueve! Sixxy and I had fun playing in Tennis-Sea last week. It was a long trip, so we took two days to get there. On the first day, it rained while Mom and Dad were eating pancakes for supper. When the rain stopped, it made a rainbow. It was HUGE. There were TWO rainbows, but you could barely see the second one.
Mom took another picture that showed the second one a little better.
I had a good weekend. I got TWO bestest of breeds. My friend Kai the Bullmastiff got THREE bestest of breeds. Michelle was very proud of both of us. She wanted a picture of us by the water.
That’s Kai on the left side and me on the right. His butt is big. Kai was really bad, and almost knocked Michelle in the water. That’s ’cause he is so big and can’t keep track of where his body is.
See? He almost sat on me! That would have hurt. He’s so big, he makes me look like a puppy! But he is a good boy. He loves my mom almost as much as I do. On one of the days when I won, we took pictures in the flowers. Michelle does let me walk in the flowers. She carried me to the big rock. Kai doesn’t ever get to have his picture taken in flowers ’cause Michelle can’t carry him.
Mom liked this picture of me. I was looking at my new friend, Jeff. He was in the park. He fed me Doritos. Mom didn’t want me to have them, but I thought it would be rude of me not to eat them when my new friend was offering them to me.
Sixxy also got to play in Tennis-Sea. She ran really fast in a race called FastCAT where she get to chase plastic bags. She did really good. She raced four times and koala-fide four times. Our friend Josh held her at the start ’cause she is too strong for Mom. This is Sixxy and Josh. Josh is the one holding the ribbons. He has to, ’cause Sixxy does not have ‘poseable thumbs.
She was not a good girl getting her pictures taken ’cause she was trying to kiss Josh all the time. She is bad that way. That’s Michelle’s hand. She is trying to distract Sixx. She’s a naughty girl, but she’s my sister and my best friend.
Yep, loving my sister even when she is bad is something I do. I am a working dog. I am Good Boy Nueve!

No bones about it – this is one fun Halloween card Ann! Those colourful skeletons just make me smile. Congratulations to the pups too – what superstars!
Hello, Ann! The cute little bow ties on the skeletons made me smile! And that background and large orange moon are a perfect backdrop for these three little cuties – no bones about it!
Xoxo, Fran
Oh Ann, I just LOVE this fun Halloween scene! That little dog, cat and skeleton steal the show! Such a fun sentiment, too! This spooky card will make someone smile! Great way to use the colors!
Nueve is so handsome!!!!! I just love to hear about all the victories.
I know you are so busy! Take care of YOU!
Ann, I love your fun Halloween scene. I have been playing with the skeleton set quite often, I love the black die cut background. I will have to include that.
Love your little Halloween scene, I am happy to have helped you get it inky! Cute little bones! And fun pictures of the antics of Nueve and friends! Always love to see what they’re up to!
Butterscotch thought she was featured on this card because that kitty skeleton looked just like her! LOL. What a great Halloween card for kids and adults! Nueve continues to amaze me; he has such insights for such a young man. Kai makes Nueve look like a puppy.
This card is adorable! And so is Nueve, lol!! I just love the way Nueve talks and spells. 😆
I just used this set at a friends Cardmaking class. It’s so much fun!!
Happy Autumn 🍁🍂
Awesome dog pictures – congratulations to all!!
I have to admit I always scroll to the bottom of your posts to see if there is a message from Nueve. It’s not that I don’t care about your cards – I just can’t wait to see pictures and comments from Nueve.
Love the card especially the cute little ghosts!! Also love Nueve’s notes. What a guy. You sure have your hands full! Now I see why Kai is so big. I thought he was a giant boxer, didn’t know he was a Mastif. Magnificent! All of the pictures are soooo good. Sure wish Nueve and you would write books. Thanks for sharing.
