If I had to pick out the type of card I send out the most, it would hands-down be thank you cards. What could be better for Spring than a pastel floral thank you card? It’s Sunday, and time to play with The Paper Players!
This week, the fabulous Joanne is hosting our color challenge. I really LOVE what she has selected for us: Pastels! While I went the floral route, I can’t wait to see what YOU create!
Colors Of The Day
The Stampin’ Schach Design Tips
Today’s card features three retiring favorite colors of mine: Sahara Sand, So Saffron, Soft Succulent. Luckily, I have ink refills for them, and I will be able to continue enjoying them for a few more years. But as sad as I am to see them retire, I am excited for the return of old favorites, like Berry Burst and Lost Lagoon, as well as meeting new colors like Moody Mauve and Pecan Pie. Seriously, how could I not love a color called Pecan Pie? At any rate, I had fun creating today’s card. It features the beautiful designer paper, “Hello, Irresistible”. What an appropriate name, because I do find this paper irresistible! The flowers are courtesy of the Two-Tone Flora stamp set. A few pearls, which are also retiring, adorn their centers. A custom-colored Baker’s Twine bow accents the sentiment.

Nueve’s Notes
Hey, everyone! It’s me, Nueve! Sixxy and I have been very busy playing show dog with our friend, Michelle. We both won last weekend at Gray Summit, Mizzuree. I think I spelled it wrong. It might be Miss Yurie. Anyhow, it WAS gray! They had storms. Mom was alone with Sixx and me in the motel, and sirens went off and her phone had a loud, scary message that said there was a tornado close. I don’t know what a tornado is, but Mom said “DANGER”. We know when she says that, she means business. She put our collars and leashes on us, and we all went into the bathroom and laid down in the bathtub. It was crowded, but we didn’t move until Mom said we could. Luckily the sun was out the next day, and we were able to get a picture of us and all our ribbons. We are with our friend, Bond. He got a ribbon, too, and got to have his picture taken with us.
We were by a big green dog. He wasn’t real. Michelle stuck our ribbons on his neck. I’m the handsome one on the left. Sixxy is in the middle. We got to celebrate with Frosty Paws when we got home. It was Uncle Jackie’s heavenly birthday, and we celebrated that, too. One of Mom’s friends even sent birthday flowers to Uncle Jack.
They are so pretty. Mom let all of us smell them. I LOVED Uncle Jackie. I was his puppy. He picked me out of the litter when I was just a baby.
We had the best time playing together.
He was so gentle. He let me crawl on his head.
I could even play “bitey face” with him, and he didn’t care.
He was the best working dog ever. He was a good boy. I knew when I grew up, I wanted to be just like him. I will never forget him. Remembering those you love, even when they are no longer with you, is not part of my job. It is part of my heart. I AM a working dog, just like my Uncle Jackie, and one day I WILL be as great as he was. I am Good Boy Nueve!

Ann, Your card is lovely. I lke how you combined the colors for this challenge. It is a perfect card for Spring.
So pretty Ann – and when I saw those flowers had made it onto the carryover list I caved and added them to my shopping basket!! Loved the pup update too – Nueve is turning into such a handsome chap!
There’s that great printed paper again, Ann! And it’s all beautifully combined.
Ann, this card is so gorgeous! I love the florals and the the beautiful colors you used. Every detail is stunning! You certainly rocked this challenge! I love all the doggie photos. They make me smile! I know your Jackie is a missing part of your family! Warm hugs, My Friend!

You certainly made good use of all those pastels! What a gorgeous springy creation! And what fond memories of Uncle Jackie…and new memories being made every day! TFS! And congrats too!
Ann, this card is fabulous. I love the soft colors and those florals are everything! WOW. I can’t imagine being in a hotel room with the pups during a tornado. Glad everything worked out well for you – and congrats to the babies and their new ribbons
hugs

I really like the Hello Irresistible dsp. I love the soft colors! Nueve, as usual, has given us a great update. The pictures of him as a puppy with Uncle Jackie are precious. Congratulations to Nueve and Sixxy for adding even more wins and ribbons! So glad you were safe from that tornado!!!
You are a brave lady. Glad all of you are ok.
Congratulations kid’s good job.
Loved the story and all the pictures.
Great card!! What a scary time Y’all had! I’m so glad y’all were safe!! Congratulations on your and Sixxy’s wins!!! I love the walk down Memory Lane with you and Jack!!
Pretty card, Ann. Nueve had a great story for us today and he touched my heart. Glad you made it safely through the tornado AND that your babies won ribbons!
The card, as always, is beautiful, although I am not a pastel person – I love loud, in your face colors. And Nueve, OMG, I almost managed to get through his journaling but when the baby pictures came out, so did the tears. I can only imagine how hard it was helping his write it. Every time I think of your Jackie, the funny boxer, I think of my Jackie, the funny Greyhound, and vice versa. Hoping they are together in Heaven, maybe doing stand up : ) Congrats on the wins. And, I really do love the card, even though it is pastel : )
