The Stampin’ Schach Design Tips

The Holly Berry dies collection is absolutely perfect for creating a gorgeous focal cluster.  Holly berries were die cut from Cherry Cobbler card stock, and accented with a Distressed Gold overlay. Mossy Meadow backs the leaves of the large Distressed Gold label die cut, while Evening Evergreen pine needles peek out from behind. Fussy cut leaves, courtesy of one of the patterns from Boughs of Holly designer series paper, add to the fun. Of course, a Textural Element piece and gold Festive Pearls are the perfect accents.

Nueve’s Notes

Hey, everyone! Guess who! It’s me, Nueve!  I was worried when I came to Washington that I wouldn’t have any puppy people to play with.   But, then I met my Aunt Kia.  It was love at first sight.  She’s older, so when she is out in the yard where I am staying, she sits on her blue blankie so her Boxer butt doesn’t get cold.  I’m trying to sit just like her.

After we run, we are tired, so we take naps.  I am very careful not to lay on her, ’cause she is older.

Holly Berry Christmas

She’s been teaching me a lot of things during my visit.  She told me I need to look piddy full, like this, to get treats.

She also taught me how to play King of the Hill at the dog park.

But, most of all she has taught me the importance of family.  I love my Auntie Kia! I give her kisses.

And I will be sad when I have to leave and go back home.  I will miss her so much.

Loving with all my heart is what I do.  It is part of my job.  I am a working dog.  I am Good Boy Nueve.

  1. Thanks for a wonderful sketch challenge, Ann, I really enjoyed it! Your card is beautiful; I struggle with placing collage elements like you did on the left side of your card but your grouping looks effortlessly elegant and beautiful.

  2. Just as I was about to despair on using this bundle, you produced a fabulous card that made me rethink its possibilities. I’m anxiously awaiting the gold distressed paper but in the meantime, I can experiment with your design and color combinations. Thank you! Also, I see Aunt Kia has definitely mastered the art of the “piddy full” stare, as will Nueve in time! Love that dog!

  3. Ann, this is gorgeous. I am obsessed with your cluster of florals and the pops of gold add just the perfect touch of glimmer and richness. Fabulous card, my friend
