Nativity Christmas Card

The sentiment, “The light of the world”, lights up today’s Nativity Christmas card.  It’s time to play at Festive Friday – Home of the Inspo List!

Nativity Christmas card

For this week’s challenge, we are inspired by World Space Week. Remember, at Festive Friday, you do not need to actually celebrate or make a card for the occasion featured. Your goal is to simply use three or more items from the inspiration list on your project. I used stars, night sky and sparkle to create my card. I can’t wait to see what YOU create!

The Stampin’ Schach Design Tips

Sometimes a paper is so beautiful that I just can’t bring myself to use it. The thought of not having it to look at, not having it in my stash, saddens me. A bit over-dramatic, maybe, but that’s how I felt about the gorgeous blue foil paper used on today’s card. I finally decided I needed to use it up.  So, I did.  And you know what? I survived.  If you are not a paper hoarder like me, there are lots of options to use in place of the blue foil.  Night of Navy works well, as does Silver foil. Even black would be an option, since it would coordinate with the stamped image.

Rhinestones and Clear Wink of Stella add a touch of sparkle to the midnight sky.  Stampin’ Blends were used to color the robes and head coverings.

Nueve’s Notes

Hey, everyone! It’s me, Nueve!  I have a surprise at my house. His name is Zilla, and he is a puppy.  He is staying with me while his mom and dad go to Okra-hoe-ma. He’s only with us for a few days. I will be sad to see him go.  He plays with me, and he makes the best pillow ever!  I call it a “Zilla Pilla”!

Nativity Christmas CardI’m teaching him how to lay his head across people you love.  I know my mom likes it when I lay my head across her lap.  It makes her smile.  Then she pets me and tells me she loves me two pizzas.  I know how much my mom loves pizzas, so to love me TWO pizzas is a lot.   Yep, making people I love happy is just part of what I do.  I am a working dog. I am Good Boy Nueve!

  4. Ann, this is gorgeous. I love the focus of the blue and white with just a hint of the other colors. The scalloped border behind the focal image is just the perfect choice.
