Lighthouse images are powerful.Ā To me, they symbolize security and strength, their beacons of light providing guidance through the unknown darkness.Ā Today’s card was made for my sister, who is battling Stage IV metastatic lung cancer.Ā It was discovered a few months ago when she had a heart attack.Ā My parents passed when I was just out of college, and it was my sister who held our family together.Ā Several years older than me, she was my guiding light, my beacon in the darkness.Ā She has always been a pillar of strength for me, and now it is my turn to be that pillar of strength for her. I know our days are numbered, but her light shines brighter than she will ever know.
Today’s card is easy to create. The lighthouse die set does all the work for you.Ā Did you know the Drybrush background stamp can create a pretty nifty water effect?Ā And the Sun Prints designer series paper collection contains this pattern which is perfect for a foggy night sky at sea. Beautiful card, Ann, I love how you used the Drybrush stamp for the water on the bottom of your card. Best healing wishes to your sister, I have a friend who is fighting stage 4 metastatic breast cancer. She is a warrior through and through.
