“Love you, friend” are three sweet words that too many times we fail to say. Why not let this card be your voice, and let it express just exactly how you feel. It’s Sunday, and time to play with The Paper Players!
This week, sweet Joanne is hosting our monthly color challenge. The trio of hues she selected is like a breath of spring, don’t you think?
My mind immediately turned to flowers. What about you? I can’t wait to see what YOU create!
The Stampin’ Schach Design Tips
Today’s card is all about die cuts, specifically those created by using the Many Layered Blossoms dies. It’s a little time intensive, but simple to create. I will say, your arm will get a workout using the Stampin’ Cut & Emboss machine. The thicker detailed die was used to create a Basic White layer, while the thinner overlay die was used to create both a Pear Pizzazz and a Daffodil Delight die cut. Be sure to save the small leaf pieces to inlay! The smaller blossom dies were created from Mango Melody card stock, and sport rhinestone centers for a touch of bling. Add a sentiment of your choice, and ta-da! You are ready to send this card on its way!

Notes from Nueve
Uncle Jackie is gone. Sixxy and I watched for him to come home from the Boxer Doctor, but he didn’t come.It made us very sad when Mom explained that he was with Great Aunt Muffy, Great Uncle Brody and Aunt Lexi. Mom explained that he was very, very sick, and was hurting very badly, and that he wouldn’t get any better, so we had to say goodbye. But we weren’t ready to say goodbye yet. We still had games of chase and “bitey legs” to play with him, and snuggles to give. But, we didn’t want him to hurt. Mom said that sometimes the most loving decisions are the most difficult to make, and this was one of those times. I tried to make Sixxy feel better by putting my paw around her, but she was “griefing”.
Mom explained that even though his body is gone, he will always be with us in our heart. Sometimes we feel like we can reach out and touch him…
or feel the warmth of his body next to ours.
Uncle Jackie, you will always be our hero. Sixxy and I are trying really hard to fill the big paw prints you left behind. We are trying to be the type of dog you would want us to be. We have learned from the best, because we have learned from you…
I kept my Mom company while she made today’s card, just like Uncle Jackie always did. It was really cold, ’cause we were in the basement place. It doesn’t have a fire window. Mom put a blankie on the couch, and turned on the TV for me to watch.
I was watching a really good show on Dog TV. Fuzzy little dogs were chasing a ball on a beach, and just when they were going to catch it, Mom switched the station to the Hallmark channel. I gave her “that look”, but she didn’t get the message I was sending her. She didn’t switch it back to my program. Now I’ll never know if they caught the ball!
I finally ended up just watching her make her card.
It made Mom smile when she saw me looking adoringly at her. Making Mom happy is the most important job I have. I am a working dog. I am Good Boy Nueve!

Such a pretty card, Ann! The bitty bling detail is perfectly placed, as always. So tough to lose the precious furbabies. I’m still processing my sweet Benjamin Maxwell. I just know they are waiting for us and we WILL see them again for a happy reunion one day. Hugs!
This beautiful sunny, layered creation is just the breath of spring we all need Ann – just beautiful! Good boy Nueve has that sorrowful look down perfectly; my heart aches for them too, you are all having to process so much. As your card says, love you friend – sending you the biggest hug!
Such a pretty card, I am glad you were able to get in some stamping time. Nueve has such an expression-ful face (is that even a word?)!! I know that all of you miss all your pup friends and I pray that every day gets a little better!
I like how you used the patterned paper for the fill-in on the die cut flowers, it’s such a fun way to add some interest to die cut layers. The two darker Mango Melody flowers are great accents for your spring bouquet.
Ann, this card is so beautiful!!!!! Your flowers are so pretty and make me long for Spring. I have tears reading your story. My heart breaks for you! Warm hugs, My Friend!
Such a beautiful card, Ann; a breath of Spring indeed! The colors also remind me of daffodils.
Good Boy, Nueve! Thank you for taking such good care of your Mom, Dad and sister! You truly are a blessing to your family!!
Those flowers are awesome…love the layers!! beautiful card!
Ann, your card is beautiful! Love the dies , the textures, the layering, it all came together perfectly! I hope you’re doing ok and I love to read your stories too! Hugs for healing and have a great week!
That sweet face watching you craft. Priceless.
Hopefully your mom will read this message to you. You not only give your mom much joy but also the peoples who like your mom’s cards. I am sorry that you did not get to finish watching your show. But please be sensitive to what your mom is going through. She is probably still very sad. And watching the Hallmark movies gives her a chance to cry and blame it on Hallmark instead of her still missing all her other babies. Keep up the great work that Uncle Jackie would expect. Your blogging friend, Mallory (or Aunt Mal Mal if that is too hard to say)
This stamp set and dies is one of my favorites because you can dress it up or down. Your version is gorgeous in those colors. Good Dog Nueve is the best writer…he conveyed his feelings very convincingly. He also has that great “poor pitiful me” look down pat.
I love the flower-filled card, and all the die-cutting you did!
But I especially love the wise dog voice–crying, all very close to my recent dog loss. Beautifully written, Ann and Nueve!
Beautiful card, and, yes, we need to say that more often! Thanks for the reminder. GOOD BOY, Nueve, for his caring for Sixxy and you and Kim.
Sweet babies! I’m glad they are there with you to share the love. And what a gorgeous card!
Wonderful card. Now I’ve dug out my die set like yours and will use it. Love your dogs speaking to us. I think what they’re thinking about Jackie. Hugs.
Such a beautiful card! I haven’t used that die set in a long time. I think your card is one that I am going to try to CASE just like you did it!
Nueve is such a good dog to sit by you and watch you adoringly while you made this one. Your “children” love you so much!
Love your pictures and story and your card. Keep moving forward one foot at a time thinking of you with hugs
Love your card. Thinking of you and you furry family.
Thinking of you! Sixxy and Nueve must miss Uncle Jackie. Time . . . only time will help help healing sorrows.
