I love making a clean and simple masculine card.ย It’s even more fun when I get to use new products from the July – December Mini Catalog.ย It’s Sunday, and time to play with The Paper Players!
This week, the amazing Anne Marie has a Clean and Simple Challenge for us: Masculine.ย ย I went the scenic route,ย and inked up Stampin’ Up!’sย new Reflected in Nature stamp set. I can’t wait to see what you create. But before you run off to grab those stamps, papers and inks,ย remember that by CLEAN AND SIMPLE, we mean cards that have:
- minimal layers
- few to no embellishments
- lots of clean white space (minimal patterns)

The Stampin’ Schach Design Tips
Don’t be deceived by Stampin’ Up!’s Reflected in Nature stamp.ย There is definitely a learning curve in inking it up.ย Luckily, the task is made easier with the Stamparatus.ย I ended up inking the entire image in Smoky Slate. Next, I started at the shore line in the middle of the stamp, and inked with Balmy Blue.ย Finally, I used a Night of Navy Stampin’ Write Marker to ink the top half. By using the marker, I was able to darken the trunks of the trees and cabin.ย A little clear Wink of Stella gives the frozen lake an icy touch.
