Pink poppies on a thank you card? Why not? It’s Sunday, and time to play with The Paper Players!
The lovely Claire is hosting our color challenge this week, and what a delightful trio of colors she has selected for us: Melon Mambo, Granny Apple Green, Pool Party. These colors just scream spring, don’t you think? I decided to ink up some pink poppies. I can’t wait to see what you create!
The Stampin’ Schach Design Tips
When I think of poppies, I always think of think of red. In specific Stampin’ Up! terms, they would be glorious orange-red Poppy Parade poppies. However, I decided to step outside the box and create a trio of Melon Mambo hued blossoms on today’s fun card. Paired with Granny Apple Green leaves and a Pool Party background, they are like a fresh breath of spring air.
Silver metallic threads peek out from behind the label, while frosted epoxy droplets and clear rhinestones add even more sparkle.

Why not indeed! When it’s your card, you can make your poppies whatever colour you like! Besides, with that jolly green bow and striped DSP, pink is the perfect colour!

Your poppies are glorious Ann! We all think of the orange red color for poppies but they actually come in many colors, including pink, so yours are right on the mark. And so beautifully colored too! Love your layout and the wonderful striped dsp. Another fabulous card!
