It’s time for the Stamp Review Crew: Farmhouse Christmas Edition! If this is your very first visit to one of our hops, the Stamp Review Crew is a group of international Stampin’ Up! demonstrators whose mission is to do a blog hop on the first, third and fifth Mondays of each month. Our hops are unique because each of us features the same stamp set used in a variety of ways, giving you loads of inspiration for that set. The hops are archived at the Stamp Review Crew blog. You will be able to click through each hop at any time, going directly to the posts for that hop whenever you want.
This week we are featuring the Farmhouse Christmas set. If you are following along in order, you have just arrived from the amazing Charlet Mallet. After visiting me, you will continue to the next stop, the talented Stesha Bloodhart. Be prepared to be inspired!
Farmhouse Christmas Holiday Card
I love the warm, country feel I get from the Farmhouse Christmas stamp set. I think it pairs so perfectly with the tartan plaid Festive Farmhouse designer series paper. I watercolored the house using Blender Pens and inks, and added a few special touches. I hope you like it!

The Stampin’ Schach Design Tips
Little touches add so much, don’t you think? On my house, I added Old Olive wreaths to the larger windows, and added a bit of sparkle by smoothing out Shimmery White Embossing Paste on the roof. To up the sparkle factor, I also added snow, cut from Sparkle Glimmer Paper.
Bows were added to the fence, and Shimmery White Embossing Paste added a layer of frost to the tree.
The focal panel and the house were popped up on dimensionals. I brushed the limbs of the tree up from the card, to add even more depth. Only the bottom of the fence is adhered, which leaves the top floating above the card base. It is so adorable in person. This is the card I will be making for my neighbors, as it looks a wee bit like my own home. I hope you enjoyed it!

- If you are in need of a Holiday Catalog or an Annual Catalog, and you do not have a demonstrator, please email me (ann@thestampinschach) and I will drop one in the mail to you! I would love to be your demonstrator.
How fun! Love the tree treatment. I have a problem with wreaths on my house – a bird makes a nest in them every year and leaves babies in there to die. So, I changed and put out a cone shaped thing and there is a nest down there too. At least your card doesn’t have to worry about that with the cute little wreaths.
