I scream, you scream, we all scream for ice cream! It’s time for the Festive Friday Challenge, where every challenge is a party! For FF0011, we are celebrating Ice Cream Day with a Sprinkles twist. You can create a card to celebrate Ice Cream Day, or you can create a card or project with sprinkles, or you can combine both! Whatever way you decide to create is fine with us! We would love to have you play along! Who doesn’t want to celebrate Ice Cream Day?

The Stampin’ Schach Design Tips
Necessity is the mother of invention, as they say, and so it was with today’s card. With my huge retired stamp set sale going on, I had already said good-by to my “ice creamy” sets. So as I browsed through the catalog in a panic, I stumbled across the Coffee Café stamp set. Doesn’t that whipped cream remind you of Dairy Queen? It did me! So I created a little cup of vanilla … or maybe even lemon…ice cream.
The oval Delightfully Detailed Laser Cut Specialty Paper panel was the perfect overlay for the Pool Party polka dot paper.
Of course, we needed a celebratory sentiment, like this one from the Detailed with Love stamp set.
Can’t you just see this layout used for other cards? Instead of a cup of ice cream, just substitute a wedding cake or a birthday cake, and there you have it – an easy wedding or birthday card. I hope you enjoyed today’s card as much as I enjoyed making it!
The Challenge Twists
As mentioned earlier, Festive Friday is a challenge with twists. If you do not wish to create an Ice Cream Day project, you could create a “sprinkles” card or project. We offer alternatives for every challenge. Plus, if you play along with us, you will be earning Fest Points which can be redeemed for items such as tutorials (including the tutorial for today’s card), retired Stampin’ Up! products, design team cards, and even a spot as a Guest Designer! But remember: To earn Fest Points, you need an account on the challenge site. Just click on login/register on the challenge site to get started.
To see all of the inspiration our Design Team has created for you, head on over to Festive Friday Challenges!

I love that lace on your cup of ice cream–it’s lemon to me since that’s my fave! The Delightfully Detailed oval frames it perfectly. You are so creative!
SU needs a framelit to make that oval cut …….so pretty
Love the added lace to the ice cream cup! Very fancy! The laser cut paper is a great way to frame the ice cream.
Ann I am speechless. This card is gorgeous!! Love the colors and definitely the placement. Thanks so much for sharing your awesome creations!!!
I like the creativity of the card and it does look like DQ ice cream! You are the best card designer!
I love your card Ann. The colors that you used are wonderful. The oval Delightfully Detailed Laser Cut is gorgeous! Yes, the whipped cream die that you used does remind me of Dairy Queen. As a matter of fact my Wayne and I went to dairy Queen for the first time in 15 years. I’m not supposed to eat dairy. Ha-ha. it was yummy and so worth it. Thank for sharing your card. Happy Ice cream day to you. Smile BIG! 🙂
What a sweet card and it did remind me first off of a small container of DG soft ice cream.
Been in triple digits here so ice cream sure would hit the spot. Triple digits going into next week as well.
Have a great day and enjoy the week end
