Stamp Review Crew: Truly Tailored Edition

Masculine Joyfold card

It’s time for the Stamp Review Crew: Truly Tailored Edition! If this is your very first visit to one of our hops, the Stamp Review Crew is a group of international Stampin’ Up! demonstrators whose mission is to do a blog hop on the first, third and fifth Mondays of each month. Our hops are unique because each of us features the same stamp set used in a variety of ways, giving you loads of inspiration for that set. The hops are archived at the Stamp Review Crew blog. You will be able to click through each hop at any time, going directly to the posts for that hop whenever you want. This week we are featuring the Truly Tailored stamp set. If you are following along in order, you have just arrived from the oh-so-talented Tanya Boser.  After visiting me, you will continue to the next stop,  Jay Soriano.

The Stamp Review Crew: Truly Tailored Edition
A Masculine Joy Fold Card

Masculine Joyfold Card

The Truly Tailored set is a masculine set which will be retiring at the end of May.   I fell in love with the True Gentleman Suite, to which this set belongs, especially the True Gentleman Designer Series Paper.  To showcase two of my favorite patterns of this paper, I decided to pair them with my favorite sentiment from the set, in a classic joy fold card … or in this case, a “boy fold” card!

The Stampin’ Schach Design Tips

Today’s card is a Joy Fold design.  One of the best tutorials for creating this fold can be found HERE on Splitcoaststampers. I find this design is perfect for showing off designer papers, like these fabulous plaid and gambler stripe patterns.

The sentiment was selectively inked using Stampin’ Write Markers, and cut out using a circular Stitched Shapes framelit.

As I mentioned previously, I LOVE these papers.  Earlier this year, I created a similar card using them.

And for those of you who prefer quick and easy, here is another card!

This is such an awesome layout, and the dimensions are easy:

  • 2-3/4″ wide x 4″ high – Designer Series Paper
  • 3″ wide x 4-1/4″ high – Mat
  • 4-1/4″ x 11″ scored at 5-1/2″  –  Card Base

I hope you enjoyed today’s cards.  If would like to try your hand at creating your own Truly Tailored card,  the supply list is located below.  Clicking on a product takes you right to my store.   You will receive a little somethin’-somethin’ from me IF you use the Host Code.   If your order is $150 or more, please do not use the Host Code.  You will automatically receive the gift from me, as well as your own Host Rewards.

Still smiling about the “boy fold” card! Plus the comment about the ribbon looking like a belt on a robe! I have 2 packs of this paper for future fun. I even bought the stamp set and punch though I am not too smitten with the stamps but I love the outline on them to use with other sentiments and the punch. Great card and your previous ones also are fun to revisit as they are also great! I will hop along later and enjoy all the creativity!
