Timeless Love for The Paper Players and Founder’s Circle

IMG_2703It’s Sunday…and time to play with The Paper Players! This week, the talented Sandy has a fun sketch featuring a tag  for us.  Who doesn’t love making tags? I know I do! I inked up the Timeless Love stamp set and pulled out the Pretty Petals designer paper and got to work creating. I hope you enjoy today’s card.

This finished card measures 4-1/4″ wide and 5-1/2″ long when folded.

  • You make my heart smile! The sentiment was inked with Memento ink and stamped onto Very Vanilla cardstock.  The floral image was colored using Calypso Coral, Lost Lagoon, and Mossy Meadow inks and Blender Pens. Rhinestones decorate the centers of the flowers and the small punched heart.

  • Tag…you’re it!  The tag was created with the Scalloped Tag Topper Punch and decorated with strips of Pretty Petals designer paper.

  • Coordination!  One of the fabulous features of Stampin’ Up! products is how well they coordinate. I never hesitate when mixing and matching designer paper from the same collection.  With today’s card, the patterns are united by color! And what about the touches of gold?  Gold foil and gold sequins add a touch of elegance.

IMG_2703-003“You make my heart smile”. What a beautiful sentiment!  If you are reading this, you DO make my heart smile.  I am so grateful to have loyal stamping friends and customers. Because of you, I earned Stampin’ Up!’s Founder’s Circle again this year. Founder’s Circle is an honor given to the Top 100 demonstrators in the United States and the Top 20 demonstrators in Canada.  I can’t believe I will once again be sitting alongside those whom I consider to be stamping royalty…people whom I idolize…this September when we travel to St. George, Utah.

ImageProxy.mvcThis is the last year Founder’s Circle is being held, and I feel blessed to be going.  It was a “day-brightener” at a time when I needed one. With storm damage to pay for, with a return of my back problems, and with two puppies at an age where they need attention, training and socialization, I was unable to attend Convention.  As much as I wanted to go and see my friends, my heart and my head (and my back) knew my place was at home this year.  Sometimes one just has to accept the reality of the situation.  So…you can imagine my surprise when I started receiving texts from my friends who did attend, telling me I had earned a spot in the Top 100.  With my focus centered on puppies the past five months, I am truly, truly surprised and humbled.  I could not have done this without my loyal customers, many of whom are like family to me, and without the members of my team, on whom I can always count.

Earning Founder’s Circle has rejuvenated me.  I am ready to once again return to my stamping roots…posting more often, doing more videos, offering more lessons and tutorials, and most importantly sharing my passion for stamping with others.  By watching the “kids” and helping around the house, my newly retired husband will be freeing up valuable time I can use to pursue my passion….but first I have to get through jury duty next week!  So watch for changes starting in August!

I was very pleased with how today’s card turned out.  I think it has a wee bit of a Deco flair.  Maybe it is the colors or maybe the font. What do you think?  Won’t you let me know in your  comment today? Your comments are important to me.  Of course, if you ever have a question about the cards I create or the techniques I use, I am only an email away. Until next time…

    Congratulations!

I love your card with the fun tag. The colors and designs remind me of an old cookie jar my mom had. I don’t know the history behind it but it ended up missing when I cleaned out the house after my parents died. Probably my brother grabbed it. I would have loved to have had it just for the rich colors and patterns. I guess I can just click on your blog and look at your terrific card to remind me. I doubt it I could duplicate it. I love all the rich colors and rich details. This card showcases this stamp set to the max!

I think we have had enough of these storms now. Nice gentle rains at the appropriate time will be nice for a change. Luckily we only have had a little storm damage to contend with. I guess Mother Nature wanted the RAGRAI riders to really get their fill of Iowa weather this week!

I agree with Jodi, it looks like a Mary Englebreit design. I love her items. Take care, Pam
