It’s Sunday, and time to play with The Paper Players! For this week’s color challenge, the oh-so-talented Anne Marie has a beautiful quartet of colors for us: Crisp Cantaloupe, Crumb Cake, So Saffron, Wild Wasabi. I have had the urge to watercolor lately, and Stampin’ Up!’s Indescribable Gift was a perfect choice. So I pulled out my Blender Pens and inks, and got to work. I hope you enjoy today’s card.
The Stampin’ Schach Design Tips
This card measures 4-1/4″ wide by 5-1/2″ long when folded.
- Blender Pens and Inks! This image, from Indescribable Gift, was inked in Jet Black StazOn and stamped onto Whisper White cardstock. It was faux watercolored using Blender Pens and the challenge colors. After outlining it with Soft Sky, it was snipped out with Paper Snips.
- Butterflies! Both the Bitty Butterfly Punch and the Beautiful Wings Embosslit were used to create this “flutter” of butterflies. Of course, a few Pearls were used as accents!
- A beautiful bow! A double bow was created with Crumb Cake Seam Binding. Glue Dots are used to hold it in position.
What a gorgeous color combination this is! Perfect for spring, don’t you think? Won’t you let me know in your comment today? Your comments are important to me, and I do read each and every one of them. Of course, if you ever have any questions about the cards I create, or the techniques I use, I am only an email away. Until next time…

Gorgeous creation, Ann! Lovely way to use those beautiful spring colors! Just love it!
What a beauty Ann! I love the watercolouring and fussy cutting, which set these colours off to perfection, but I think the ‘unsung hero’ of this card is the inlaid embossed background panel – it really adds an additional dimension to this card. Great job!
