It’s Sunday…and time to play with The Paper Players. The talented LeAnne has a fabulous sketch for us today. I opted for a quick, easy and cute card, featuring Santa and Co. Designer Series Paper. Sometimes it’s all about the paper! Enjoy!
The Stampin’ Schach Design Tips
This finished card measures 4-1/4″ wide by 5-1/2″ long.
- Buttons and bows! A Nordic Noel button boasts a White Bakers Twine bow. Backed by a snippet of Real Red ribbon, it makes a stunning accent.
- Snowy sequins! What better accent for a winter wonderland card than a trio of Snowflake Sequins!
- Snowmen! Sometimes it is all about the paper. This is so true for the Santa and Co. Designer Series Paper Collection. These cute little snowmen were just crying out to take center stage on a winter card.
Santa and Co. paper and today’s sketch were made for each other. I can just see Dancing Santas and Fancy Moose in place of the Snowmen. In fact, I can’t wait to try them!
What do you think of today’s quick and easy card? Won’t you let me know in today’s comment? Your comments are important to me. Of course, if you have any questions about the cards I create or the techniques I use, I am only an email away. But before I say good-by, I want to share a picture of Muffy. I was so overcome with emotion when I saw it, that I wrote the accompanying poem for her.
“She”
She is my counselor…
Listening to my every word.
Drying my tears when the pain becomes too great.
She makes me laugh.
She looks deep inside me, and finds the good that is hidden there.
She is my confidante…
Sharing my secrets, my dreams, my fears.
Never judging, always supporting.
She has stolen a piece of my heart,
Only to replace it with a piece of her own.
And regardless of what others may think, and say, and do
She will forever own my soul…

Ann, what a gorgeous photo of Muffy! I love your card. The button with twine counterbalanced by the snowflakes on the opposite corner work so beautifully together. Fabulous!

Terrific card Ann! Simple and perfect for a quick Christmas card.
Wonderful card, beautiful poem…so glad you have Muffy in your life!
Love today’s card Ann – that fun snowman paper looks great centre stage on your card! It’s really Muffy that takes the prize today though – what a gorgeous photo of your canine pal.
So touching! But I hope you don’t have too many tears in your life. I love the card, inspires me to use my ds paper more.
Ann I love snowmen and these three are too stinkin’ cute! Love this DSP…. I didn’t even think to do that… hugs.
I wish you a Very Happy Thanksgiving too! hugs.
I love this, Ann! So clean and simple, and what a wonderful way to showcase some beautiful patterned paper. Great picture of your beautiful Muffy, too!
Beautiful poem for Muffy. Gosh, that made me tear up a bit. I adopted a dog from a rescue and feel the same way. They are such loving, giving creatures. God Bless.
I love your simple card Ann! The embellishments are wonderful as well as that snowman scene.
Your poem is so sweet and is perfect for our pets we hold so dear to our hearts. I’d replace the “she” with “he” and it fits! They lock their gaze with ours and I know they know what I’m thinking without saying a word. So smart, so loving, so playful. I won’t live my life without a dog (or two) by my side, they are part of me and make me so happy. You have such a gift to express your thoughts and make such beautiful poetry for all of us to enjoy. Thanks for sharing your many wonderful talents!
What a darling card and heartfelt poem.
You are amazing. Such talent and such heart. Thanks for all that you share with us.
Such a cute card. I love how you used the dsp as the center piece. If we didn’t know it already, your poem certainly expresses what comes across whenever you speak about Muffy. So lovely.
Boy this post was full of emotion! The photo was wonderful and then that poem! Wonderful! I had to scroll back up to the snowman to make me smile to fight the tears! The snowmen are perfect for this sketch complete with the button, ribbon and snowflakes! Who would have known they were on the paper from the tiny photo of the paper in the catalog. SU needs to do a better job of showcasing their paper! Have a good Thanksgiving and a safe trip to Chicago after that!
