It’s Sunday…and time to play with The Paper Players! This week is our monthly color challenge. I selected a trio of vibrant fall colors, which I thought were just right for creating a fall wreath and a pumpkin patch in my first easel card ever. Enjoy!
The Stampin’ Schach Design Tips
This finished card measures 5-1/2″ wide by 4-1/4″ long.
- Colors of Autumn! The Wreath image was inked in Hello Honey and stamped onto Naturals Ivory cardstock. The Overlay was inked and stamped twice, first in Mossy Meadow and then in Tangelo Twist. Because Naturals Ivory is so porous, the result is a wonderful rustic look. Of course, doesn’t every wreath deserve Pearls???
- Pumpkins! I created a pumpkin patch using the Pumpkins from the Fall Fest set. Some sport Mossy Meadow leaves, courtesy of the Fun Fall Framelit collection, while all are decked out with a Linen Thread bow.
- Folds flat! The stand-up Pumpkins on either side of the sentiment are attached with paper supports that are scored in order to fold flat when closed. When the card is opened, they can simply be coaxed back into an upright position.

This card will be heading off to Brady so he can set it out as a fall decoration. He hasn’t been back home since the first of August. He is feeling a little under the weather and is a little homesick. Plus, he misses the dogs. Hopefully this will cheer him up.
I have no idea why I waited so long to make an easel card. Is there anyone else out there who has not made one before, or was I the only person? Won’t you let me know in your comment today? Your comments are important to me. Of course, if you have questions about the cards I make or the techniques I use, I am only an email away. Until next time…
This is stunning!
I love this card…. Great job!!! Would love to have the tutorial.

What a magnificent Easel card Ann, they are really easy to make but sadly, I only have made one, sheeesh!! I think I need to make them more often, specially after seeing yours!!! The rustic feel the Burlap Ribbon adds to the design is perfect and the pearls truly make it elegant too. Thank you so much for sharing.
What a great card! How did you get the small pumpkin in the front? Looks like the pumpkins were embossed. Would love tutorial.

If you have a tutorial for this, I would LOVE it. Beautiful card!
P.S. I hope your crew is doing well! My Ms. Lexi sends schnauzer roos to your Boxer pack!
Wow, Ann! Your first easel card is a stunner and will make an incredible decor item. I really love how you created the pumpkin patch as a theme for your card too. After a long slump, I’m starting to get inspired once again so I will have to put on my thinking cap and see how to come up with the horizontal easel card dimensions as I’ve only made vertical easel cards.
Ann, this is beautiful and am sure Brady will welcome it. I have made some of the tri-fold cards but never an easel card. Thanks for sharing and also for sharing the tutorial for the ornamental card which was also beautiful.
Ann this is gorgeous and Brady will love it!!! As I am sure any recipient would especially me!! Hint hint LOL!! I too have never made and easel card or a step card for that matter! Thanks for sharing your wonderful creations with us!!
