Video Tutorial…Emboss Resist and a PPA Peek

It’s time for your weekly Pals Paper Arts Peek! Vintage Rosettes and scrunchy Baja Breeze Seam Binding grace this card, which features the new Paisley Petals Designer Series Paper! I hope that you will tune back in Thursday for the full reveal. And as always, please check out this week’s Pals Paper Arts Artist Picks!

Emboss Resist Video Tutorial

I would like to share a video tutorial with you today. I have had several requests to explain how I execute the Emboss Resist technique, such as seen on this card:
I usually use Crumb Cake ink for this technique. However, in order for you to see more clearly how the embossing “pops”, I used Soft Suede in the making of this video. Crumb Cake is what was used on the card above. For details on how the emboss resist featured card was made, please click on “Vintage Color Challenge”.

I hope that you enjoyed today’s sneak peek and video. Won’t you let me know if the video was helpful by leaving me a comment? And of course, if you ever have a question about the cards that I make or the techniques that I use, I am only an email away! Until next time…

Remember: There is still time to take advantage of Sale-A-Bration and the Starter Kit Special. I would love to answer your questions about becoming a member of my Stampin’ Up! family. Email me.

  2. wonderful video Ann, I love how you curled your corner layers on your card too, such awesome techniques put together to create a beautiful card!

  3. Looks like another stellar sneak peek! Love the colors and elements used that I can see! Thanks for another great tutorial. Still was hoping to see a little boxer paw or nose poking in there under your arm. I guess Henry’s is just a longer nose, hence I think the twins should do the same! Anyway, I haven’t don’t that emboss resisting before, at least I don’t remember doing it, so I need to try it sometime. I love the look!

  12. Leslie said … the video was great! While the technique is not difficult, it is so much easier to see it done then do it yourself. I can hardly wait to see the rest of the “sneak peak” card tomorrow! You always keep me on the edge of my seat and wanting more.

  17. I bow down to the queen! Awesome video, Ann – I learned something new. I need to dig out my daubers and use them for inking the edges instead of my sponges. They are so much neater and uniform (and denser) than sponges!

  18. Great video Ann! Love the peek and I am stressing to have to wait..hee.
