Cards of Christmas Past – Part 3

Thank you for joining me for Cards of Christmas Past – Part 3. What a trip down Memory Lane these past three days have been for me! During my search for the cards themselves, I encountered Muffy and Brody memories from when they wrote the blog posts.  What fun! There were series like “Buried Treasure”, where I featured a card from the past and “On the CASE”, where I CASEd a card from the catalog.  There was “From Me to You in ….”, where I posted cards made in 30 minutes or less.  Those were the days! Hopefully I can bring back some of these in 2023.  Now let’s finish our journey!

Cards of Christmas Past – Part 2

Welcome to Cards of Christmas Past – Part 2.  Looking back at the holiday cards I created over the past years has certainly brought back memories. As I perused post after post looking for cards, I encountered so many stories of Muffy and Brody.  And the year 2012 was the year when Lexi joined our family.  There were also posts about Momma’s Candy and watching deer with my father.  What wonderful memories the blog holds of those who are no longer with me!  Let’s continue the trip down Stampin’ Up! memory lane!

Cards of Christmas Past – Part 1

If you are like me, you are gearing up for the holidays in full force. I have baked cookies, made candy, mailed out holiday cards, created collars for Good Boy Nueve and Princess Sixx, and sewed up a crate cover.  What’s missing from this picture? Stamping!  I have not had a spare minute to stamp. And now that I have some free time, my basement stamping area is freezing. Yep! Like most of the nation, we are in the deep freeze here in SE Iowa. SO, I decided it would be fun to take a look at some of my favorite Cards of Christmas Past – Part 1! Let’s get started, shall we?

2009 – 2011

Today’s post is like opening up a time capsule. In 2009, I started blogging.  Oh my, how the styles have changed! Some of these cards are trendy, while others transcend time.  While I have no idea what the measurements for these cards were, or in some cases even what stamp set was used, looking back at the past still has value. Some layouts are classics, as are some of the color combinations. Some of you who have followed my blog for years, may recognize some of these creations.  Enjoy!

Do you recognize this background created with Lovely As a Tree?

A clean and classic design! I still love the use of Doves on holiday cards.

This card was SO sparkly in real life!

Remember this trend?

I remember thinking this was SO country-cute back in the day!

Remember when creating flowers from ribbon was all the rage? Of course, my signature pearls made their appearance.

Cards of Christmas Past

I loved this designer series paper! And look…more pearls!

Cards of Christmas Past

A punch art balloon, coupled with pearls, and oh, yes…a non-mailable rosette! What was I thinking!

A classic layout!

Another classic! I love birds for holiday cards!

Cards of Christmas Past

Woo hoo! More pearls…and a bulky rosette! But what a wonderful layout for showcasing designer papers!

Cards of Christmas Past

A card that was never mailed! It was created by Brody. Check out the original post HERE.

Cards of Christmas Past

I was really into emboss resist. And those fabulous little snowflakes! I think I still have the old die that created them.

Cards of Christmas Past

I added it all on this card! Ruched ribbon, fussy-cutting, tinsel, an array of pearls, and some amazing designer series paper!

Cards of Christmas Past

To this very day, I still love gold and black together.

Join me again tomorrow, as I look back at more cards of Christmas Past!
