Do you have a special friend who can turn the stormiest of days into sunshine and smiles? How about sending them a “Rainy days are better with you” card! It’s Sunday, and time to play with The Paper Players!
This week, sweet Claire is hosting our monthly theme challenge. What a perfect theme for spring! It’s Rainy Days! I loved this image from the In the Moment stamp set of a woman peering out the window. I always wondered what thoughts she was pondering. Of course, I colored the skies a shade of rainy gray-blue in order to tie in with the rainy days theme. I can’t wait to see what YOU create!

The Stampin’ Schach Design Tips
If you like fussy-cutting, paper piecing is a fun technique. Depending on the image, I either feel like an interior decorator or a fashion designer. With today’s card, it could have been both. However, I decided to style this young lady with a Moody Mauve top and Boho Blue jeans courtesy of Stampin’ Blends. I saved the paper piecing for the window seat cushion and the pillow, using patterns from the Countryside Inn collection. I really think this could be my new favorite designer series paper collection. The sentiment, from Playing In the Rain, and the Raindrop embossed background certainly add to the “rainy days” theme. And what about the new Countryside Corners dies? I can see myself using them a lot!

Ponderings From the Princess
Hello to all of Mom’s stamping friends! It’s me, Sixx! My mom said I could tell you all about my pretty pictures. She usually lets Nueve do the talking. I don’t think that is fair. He thinks he is special just because he is already a Grand Champion and I am not. But while he was out prancing around the show ring with Michelle, I was busy working on titles behind my name. Mom always said that titles behind my name shows people how smart I am. I am even a Canine Good Citizen. Anyway, I won on Sunday down in Springfield, IL. I got to take take TWO pictures with Michelle. We sparkle together!

I like how the sun makes everything look dappled, like the pony who lives by my friend’s house. I think dappled is a cool word.

Then I got to take a picture with the judge. He said he just loved my head. I love his head, too. He has hair on his face, just like me! So Nueve wouldn’t be sad, Michelle took a picture with him. Mom thinks he looks handsome.

After we were done showing, Mom and Dad took us sightseeing. We went to see a very special place. It was called Lincoln’s Tomb. A very famous man lives there, except he is an angel now. His name is Abraham Lincoln. Dogs can’t go inside the tomb, but we can walk all around it. Mom said we had to be respectful. That meant we had to be very good and not bark. We also couldn’t potty, because that wouldn’t be respectful. This is me being respectful.

Well, it’s time for me to say goodbye. Maybe Mom will let me talk again some day. After all, I am a working dog, too. I am a Princess Sixx!

This month we have five Sundays, which means it is Tic-Tac-Toe week at The Paper Players. Tic-Tac-Toe is my favorite challenge, and the fabulous Anne Marie has a wonderful board for us. I picked the horizontal row across the middle: ribbon, die cut, patterned paper. I can’t wait to see what YOU pick!
