A Peek, a Pup and Pearls

Blogger is not working for me this morning. Sometimes the pictures are here…sometimes they are not. I am so sorry, but clueless as to what to do. I am trying to find a fix. Thanks…Ann

A peek at my Pals Paper Arts card, a picture of a pretty pup, and a chance to win a bite of blog candy.  Who could ask for anything more!

Well, I could.  I need a small wooden block to fit the tiny, single leaf stamp from Vintage Vogue.  Yes…Brody really did chew up a stamp…at least the wooden block.  I found the rubber leaf.  It has been a long time since I have used Vintage Vogue.  The rest of the set was safe in the case.  My only guess is that either he or Muffy must have snatched it from the table when I wasn’t looking. Where it was hidden for the past few months, I will never know!  But does this grumpy face look like the face of a common thief?

As for my PPA card, there is texture and there are pearls. Plus it is the first time I have used this set, which I received free through participation in Stampin’ Up!’s Demonstrator Business Developers Group. This was a set which I had always wanted, but had just never gotten around to purchasing, for whatever reason.  How about you?  Is there a stamp set that you would love to have, but you just can’t bring yourself to buy it?  I would love to hear your answers to this questions.  In fact, I will even spring for free Basic Pearls for your comments on today’s and/or tomorrow’s.  The winner will be randomly selected and announced on Friday.

There is still time to join me as a Stampin’ Up! Demonstrator while receiving 15% off the price of the Starter Kit and a Bonus Bundle valued at $50.   If you have questions, please email me.  Until next time…

Do You Know the Muffin Man? A Puppy Post

I am so sorry. I have no card to post today. But I can share some pictures of the Twins from their third show, courtesy of Rose Northcutt of Shira Boxers. Rose, Marie, Terri, Ruth, Bernard, Rhonda and of course, the Twins’ handler Michelle, all seasoned Boxer professionals, have been so kind and patient with me as I am just learning the ins and outs of the dog show world.
Since so many of you have emailed me wondering how The Twins performed this week, let’s cut straight to the chase. Cimarron’s Do You Know the Muffin Man (Muffy) did a fabulous….Excuse me just a second…What Muffy? You want to tell everyone how well you did? Muffy, this is a stamping blog. I was going to write up just a short post and…Muffy! Quit whining! Oh, all right. You are such a spoiled puppy. Go ahead…but make it quick! Mom has to finish her Pals Paper Arts inspiration card.
Muffy: Hi, Mom’s Stamper People! I am so excited to tell you all about the show this week because Brody was soooooo BAD in the ring. Mom got really embarrassed and could hardly watch. I thought the judge was going to ask him to leave the…
Brody: MOM! Muffy’s telling everybody I was bad. I just wanted to play with the other puppies!

Me: Brody, Muffy is right for a change. You were a very bad boy. You cannot play with the other puppies in the ring. You just can’t. You have so much potential, Brody James.  However,  if you don’t shape up, we might have to send you away for more training.

Muffy: See Brody… Mom and Dad are going to send you away to the place where bad puppies go because they don’t love you like they love me. Just look at me in the ring, Bad Brody! This is the way good gurrrls gait in the ring. This is what wins you the blues!
Me: MUFFY LIN! Stop it right now! Just because you won your competitive class both days, and beat other beautiful puppies, you have no right to say mean and hurtful things to your brother. Michelle the Handler is going to be working on his ring manners every week from now on.

Muffy: OK, Mom. I’ll be a good gurrrl. I’m sorry, Brody. I’m sorry that you acted so badly in the ring. I’m sorry that you embarrassed Mom and made Michelle unhappy. I’m sorry that you lost your class both days. I’m sorry…

Brody: MOM! MOM! Make Muffy stop.

Muffy: Shhhhh! Brody! If you keep tattling, I’m going to tell Mom that you chewed up one of her Vintage Vogue stamps.

Me: What? Someone chewed up a stamp? Twins…just wait until your father gets home!

Well, Muffy got it pretty much right. She brought home two blue ribbons, Brody brought home two red ribbons, and Kim brought home two tired puppies and one tired “mom”. Until next time…
