It’s Thursday and time to play with the Pals at Pals Paper Arts! This week our challenge is one of my favorites…Halloween! I decided to fore go something cute in lieu of something a little more creepy. So I inked up the “Poison” sentiment from the new set, “Piece of Poison”, found in the Holiday Mini and pulled out the Pick Your Poison Designer Series Paper with its coordinating Quick Accents. I then set to work brewing up this vintage potion. I hope you have your antidote ready for this elixir! Enjoy “Poison for the Pals”!
The Stampin’ Schach Design Tips: Vintage Halloween
- Dazzling Details! What could be better than glitter glue to easily add sparkly details! I outlined the flourish on the Pick Your Poison Designer Series Paper with Stampin’ Up!’s new Dazzling Details. It’s so easy!
- Pop up the “P”! After adding Dazzling Details and Cajun Craze highlights, the “P” in the Poison sentiment was snipped out and popped atop Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- Pearls! The vote is in, and the “eyes” have it! I could not pass up “pearl-eyezing” the Skull, as well as the Antique Brad and card base corners.
- Rosette! A 1″ x 12″ strip of Pick Your Poison Designer Series Paper was scored every 1/4th of an inch using the fabulous Simply Scored Tool. A First Edition Scallop Circle, distressed and crumpled, tops it off. (It does look like my rosette is a little crooked, and unfortunately I gave the card away and can’t fix it and re-photograph. I hate it when that happens. Arghhh!)
- Vintage Touches! Even Halloween cards can go vintage. Curl the corners! Distress the edges! Add a snippet of tea-stained Victoria Lace! And how did I achieve such wonderful tea stains? By using the Tea Stain Ink Spot and the Flat Stamp from the Distressing Essentials kit.
