A PPA Peek and Free Paper, Too

It’s time for the traditional peek at the Pals Paper Arts Design Team card.  It’s always fun to try and figure out the challenge from the peek at the card.  I can tell you that I do showcase Designer Series Paper and a stamp set from the Holiday Mini.  I hope that you will join me tomorrow for the reveal.

Free Paper

Would you like a chance to win 100 sheets of  6″ x 6″  retired Stampin’ Up! Designer Series Paper?  Simply leave a comment on today’s “Peek” post and tomorrow’s “PPA Reveal” post.  I will use Random.org to select one winner from all comments left both days.  The winner will be announced in Friday’s post.  Because it is the official Pals Paper Arts challenge day, I can’t remind you about the free paper Thursday, so you will need to remember on your own.

Retired Stampin’ Up! Sets for Sale

There are still a few sets remaining from the handful I posted yesterday.  Check out THIS POST for details.  The sets are being sold on a “first come-first served” basis.  This is the end of all of my retired sets for awhile.  I really appreciate that you have helped me find them new homes.

Muffy at the Show

Muffy was not a winner this past weekend.  For some reason, she refused to stand still.  We could not even get a good picture of her.  Here she is doing what is called “posting”.  Her front legs are extending forward a little instead of being straight down from her shoulder.  This is a bad thing.  Arghh! Even Michelle the Handler got irritated with her.  Maybe she was missing her brother, Brody, who is recuperating nicely.  His new “heavy-duty” stitches are holding nicely. He goes in for a check-up Friday to see when he can have his stitches removed.  He has been such a good boy through this entire ordeal!

As always, your comments are important to me.  And don’t forget that today and tomorrow, your comments can win you free paper.  Of course, if you have questions, don’t hesitate to email me.  And speaking of questions, Jodi had a question about using the Color Spritzer.  Click HERE for a link from my archives on using the Color Spritzer Tool.  I hope this helps.  Plus, there was another question about CASEing my cards.  I never have a problem with people CASEing my work.  Just remember that if you post it on your blog, that you give me a “shout out”, please.  Until next time…

Retired Sets for Sale and Blog Candy Winner

Yikes!  My post did not post yesterday! So here it is a day later.  But in the case of a Blog Candy winner, it’s better late than never!
And the winner of the candy pictured below is:

Sylvia from Minnesota!  When asked about her favorite items from the Holiday Mini, Sylvia  said…
My favorite is Simply Scrappin’ Christmas Lane and red/green buttons.

Sylvia, just send me your address, and I will drop your goodies in the mail pronto!  Thanks to everyone who left comments.  Drop in tomorrow when I will be offering free retired Designer Series Paper with my PPA Peek!
Retired Stamps for Sale
As I cleaned and organized my “stampin’ pantry”, I discovered a few more retired sets.  There are not very many, but there are a few which need a new home.  Shipping will be either the actual cost or by Flat Rate, whichever is the cheapest.  Please email me with your choice of sets and your zip code, and I will email you the shipping cost.  Sorry, but I can only ship to US addresses.  Sets will be sold in the order in which I receive your emails.

Spice Cake for The Paper Players

This week the lovely Lesley is hosting a Happy Birthday challenge at The Paper Players.  I decided to feature one of my favorite Designer Series Paper on my card, by using two patterns from the Spice Cake collection.  I hope you enjoy today’s fun to make card!
The Stampin’ Schach Design Tips
  •  Frame it! Stampin’ Up!’s new Designer Frames Textured Impressions Embossing Folder is perfect for showcasing an image OR an oval of Designer Series Paper.  I opted to focus on an oval of the Pool Party Country Pattern from the Spice Cake Designer Series Paper collection.
  • Flag it! Give any sentiment flair by flagging the end.  I used the “Happy Birthday” sentiment from the Family Reunion set.
  • Fussy cut it! This beautiful flower is snipped from one of the patterns of Spice Cake.
  • Finish with pearls! What could be more perfect than adding Basic Pearls to the Scallop Trim Border!

I hope you enjoyed today’s card, and that you will join us in this week’s challenge.  Please leave me a comment to let me know what you think.  Your comments are always important to me, and I do enjoy reading and responding to them.  Of course, if you ever have questions about the cards that I create or the techniques that I use, I am only an email away!  Until next time…
