All aboard the Santa Express! Christmas will be here before we know it, so it’s time to get serious about those holiday cards! It’s Sunday, and time to play with The Paper Players.
This week, sweet and talented LeAnne is hosting our monthly Clean and Simple challenge. She has picked the theme “Anything With Wheels” for us. How fun is that!
For my card, Santa is riding the rails in his steam engine. I can’t wait to see what YOU create. But, before you scurry in a hurry to grab your stamps, papers and inks, remember this is Clean and Simple week. By clean and simple, The Paper Players mean cards that:
- Have minimal layers and embellishments
- Have plenty of open space
- Are simple and uncluttered

The Stampin’ Schach Design Tips
As you well know, I LOVE using Stampin’ Up!’s Memories & More card packs and coordinating designer series paper to create quick and easy cards, and that is exactly what I did with today’s card. The jolly old elf himself was cut from Santa Express designer series paper, and popped up on a background created from a Santa Express Memories & More card. A sweet little scallop was added courtesy of a Scalloped Contour die.

Nueve’s Notes
Hey, everyone! It’s me, Nueve! I’m still ‘venturing. But, Mom said I have to talk about my sister, Sixxy, today. Sixxy didn’t get to go on a ‘venture with me, ’cause she is busy playing show dog with my friend, Michelle. Not only was Sixxy a winner, she was BEST of Winners.
It was rainy, but I really like Michelle’s shoes. They are pretty. They look like stuffed toys. Sixxy looks pretty, too.
Sixxy got to have a podium shot by the pretty purple flowers. But, she didn’t get any Michelle kisses like I do. That’s ’cause Michelle likes me better.
Sixxy reminds me of Aunt Kia. She is Uncle Jackie’s sister who lives with my human brother, Brady the Boy. Auntie Kia and I have a lot of fun playing at the dog park every day. She’s the Queen of the Hill.
Aunt Kia is a working dog like me! She is Good Girl Kia and I am Good Boy Nueve!

For this week’s challenge, we are inspired by Halloween. Remember, at Festive Friday, you do not need to actually celebrate or make a card for the occasion featured. Your goal is to simply use three or more items from the inspiration list on your project. I used moon, orange, stars, black, trick or treat and silhouette to create my card. I can’t wait to see what YOU create!
Maybe it’s because I am colored like a punkin. Mom says I’m like a cross between Cajun Craze and Pumpkin Pie, whatever that means.
I saw bikes and kids and things with babies in them. Mom said they were strollers.
The incredible Laurie is hosting our monthly color challenge. For our stamping fun, she has selected a colorful trio, plus any neutral color of your choice. I took the easy route, and created a Halloween card. However, these colors are so versatile, I can’t wait to see what YOU create!
