Welcome to this week’s Buried Treasure…a feature where I revisit, for one reason or another, a card from my archives. Today’s card first appeared on The Stampin’ Schach back on September 24, 2009. Click HERE to see the original post. What drew me back to this card? The layout. It is a natural for showcasing a larger image and for showcasing embossing folders. And I LOVE using embossing folders!
Layout Options: This layout is perfect for cards where you want the image to take center stage. Larger images would be perfect for this layout. Ones which are crying out to me are the Wheelbarrow from Always Thankful, the Lodge from Christmas Lodge, and the Bird from Comfort and Joy…all from the Holiday Mini. Or how about some cute snowmen? For a masculine card, how about an image from Need for Speed. There are so many options available!
Techniques: Curl the corners of the central image and distress the edges! Pull out the Color Spritzer Tool! Use the Emboss Resist technique! The Snow Burst Embossing Folder would look lovely for a winter scene. If you need a masculine card, why not use the Houndstooth or Stripes Embossing Folders?
