It’s time for another fabulous challenge from Freshly Made Sketches! Yet again, I pulled out my Winter Memories set and Core’dinations Card Stock and created a card which exudes “warm winter wishes”. I call this no frills, down and earthy creation a “comfort card”…just like “comfort” food. Enjoy!
The Stampin’ Schach Design Tips: Recipe for a Comfort Card
This card measures 5-1/2″ wide by 4-1/4″ long.
- Texture and color! Cherry Cobbler and Early Espresso Core’dination Card Stocks make a rich and yummy color combination. When passed through the Big Shot with the new Lacy Brocade and Woodgrain Textured Impressions Embossing Folders, the texture is beyond compare!
- Adorable and retro! Who can resist the “Snowpeople” image from Winter Memories! Of course, I was a push-over for the sweet little puppy! I lightly tinted the image using Blender Pens and inks, and added Dazzling Details for sparkling snow.
- Lacy and elegant! The Scalloped Edge Finishing Touches Edgelit adds a touch of elegance in contrast to the woodgrain panel!
Of course, today marks the day that the new Holiday Catalog goes live. As for me, I wanted it all! But, I especially love the new Textured Impressions Embossing Folders I featured on this card. What about you? What tops your list? Won’t you let me know in today’s comments? Your comments are important to me, and I do read each and every one! And don’t forget…if you ever have a question about the cards that I create or the techniques that I use, I am only an email away. Until next time…
