Clean and simple is probably my favorite style of all cards, yet it is the most difficult of all styles for me to create. Therefore, this week’s Clean and Simple Spring Challenge at The Paper Players, hosted by the talented Jaydee, was definitely a challenge. While some people are fabulous clean and simple stampers, I have to work at it. I will be anxious to read what you think of this week’s attempt, using the Take Care stamp set.
The Stampin’ Schach Design Tips: Clean and Cute
This finished card measures 5-1/2″ long by 4-1/4″ wide.
- Nest! A few slivers of Baked Brown Sugar card stock makes the perfect nesting material to protect three Coastal Cabana eggs.
- Pink petals! What says spring better than trees in bloom? These little blossoms were punched from Strawberry Slush and Blushing Bride card stock. Of course, who could resist adding a few little pearls?
- Fabulous font! “Welcome Spring” was simply printed off and made in to a banner. The font is a nostalgic one called Calamity Jane. And what better way to call attention to the sentiment than with a punched Perfect Plum butterfly!
Quick, easy, clean and simple…and fun to make. What do you think of today’s card? Won’t you let me know in your comment? And remember, if you have any questions about the cards I create or the techniques I use, I am only an email away! Until next time…
