It’s Sunday, and time to play with The Paper Players! This week, the lovely and talented Sandy is challenging us to create Wedding themed projects. I opted to create a card, using the layout from this week’s Freshly Made Sketches challenge. The sketch was a perfect fit for the light and airy card I wanted to create. Enjoy!
Today’s card is also entered into Freshly Made Sketches Challenge #138. Please stop by their blog and check out the awesome inspiration from their design team.
The Stampin’ Schach Design Tips: Light and Airy
This finished card measures 4-1/4″ wide by 5-1/2″ long.
- Soft Sky! The Stippled Blossoms image was inked in Soft Sky and stamped off once before stamping onto Whisper White card stock. The stippling is Soft Sky ink, which was not stamped off. The resulting flower is elegant, especially when embellished with a center of Pearls.
- Sweet touches! A White Organza bow, against a Tea Lace Paper Doily, adds the perfect touch. The center panel was created by inking the Stippled Overlay with Soft Sky, and stamping onto Whisper White card stock multiple times.
- Pearls! The base was created with the Simply Scored Diagonal Plate. Of course, what better accents the intersections than Pearls!
I am so pleased with the resulting card. By switching out the sentiment, one could use this for birthday, anniversary, thank-you, and thinking of you cards. What do you think? Won’t you let me know in today’s comment? Your comments are important to me, and I cherish every one. Of course, if you ever have any questions about the cards I create or the techniques I use, I am only an email away. Until next time…
Note: I will be posting again this evening. There is so much to share with you…including “Dog Drama”—good and bad, an honor, shares and stamping business. Please check in again later tonight.
